welcome to watchmojo.com my name is Nick
Robinson from Anna carts calm and today
you’re going to learn how to make the
ultimate detox poached egg salad many
many years ago decades ago a study was
done and it was a poorly done study and
they associated the consumption of eggs
with cholesterol well since then Harvard
has done an exhaustive study that has
completely debunked that myth so you can
take it from accurate and current data
that you can have up to six eggs per day
and your cholesterol will actually go
down not go up and we’re talking about
the whole egg the white and the yolk and
the most exciting finding about the eggs
is that if you start off your day with
eggs eggs actually shut off the hunger
hormone and the fat storage hormone for
the 24 hours following the consumption
so you can go ahead and have eggs there
one of the world’s most perfect foods
contain all of the amino acids and are a
fantastic pre and post-workout food and
they’re pretty good too for our poached
egg salad we’re going to start off with
some basic ingredients we’re going to
choose a mixture of greens in this case
I’ve chosen a mixture of arugula
radicchio and a spinach I like to use
Twitter greens in my salads I also have
some mango for the fiber vitamin C some
green onion to balance out the sweetness
of the other flavors basil is a lovely
flavor dad to any salad but it’s also
one of the most healing herbs available
and on the side of protein I’ve chose
some sesame seeds and some hemp seeds
and of course some organic eggs that
we’re going to poach in a minute and now
we’re ready for our second step in
making our salad the dressing the
advantage of knowing how to make an easy
dressing is that you don’t have to reach
for pre-made supermarket dressings it’s
filled with artificial flavorings and
chemicals so this way we know we’re
having pure delicious ingredients in our
so today we’re going to start with some
organic olive oil then we’re going to
add in some organic balsamic vinegar
some organic maple syrup for the liquid
parts of your dressing you want to make
sure you drizzle olive oil lightly over
the surface of your salad your balsamic
vinegar you want to put about half of
what you put of the oil and the maple
syrup it’s to taste if you don’t like it
sweet put a drop a little sweeter maybe
up to a teaspoon we’re going to squeeze
in some organic lime lemon and just to
add a little bit of seasoning we’re
going to put in some freshly crushed
pepper and some actual salt crystals
because when you buy table salt you’re
getting a heavily processed food where
they actually add in some chemicals when
you’re using your salt in crystal form
you’re getting all of the minerals that
go along with the salt in fact there’s
so many different types of salt and
different types of minerals you can
actually buy minerals based on what it
is you need or your disease state or
your age or even your gender to help
maximize your health so once you have
your salad made with the dressing on top
you just want to toss your salad until
the dressing coats salad and then keep
checking the bottom to make sure that
there’s no extra dressing just get it
nicely coated until you’re ready to
plate your salad
the third step is we’re going to add a
poached egg to our salad there’s a
couple of ingredients that you may not
know you need obviously you need some
organic eggs we also need some white
vinegar and some sea salt
you want the yolk to be not too runny
not too hard I’m going to guess it’s
better now
we are now going to add in our poached
egg on to our greens
so now you’ve learned how to make the
world’s simplest but most impressive
poached egg salad you can actually add
on a little garnish for some extra
flourish I like putting on extra little
basil leaf and some pepper and we’re
ready to serve
