Donnie Wahlberg about his use of an
obsession with Twitter
I know that you’re very into Twitter I
almost obsessed to a point i don’t know
and obsessed i don’t know if i’m
obsessed twitter is awesome I think it’s
brilliant and I love it and I love being
able to connect with the fans but it
really a big part of it is who I’m
connecting to every day the they’re so
fun the fans are so funny a lot of
people don’t understand new kids fans
they think they’re just crazy women who
scream and have no sense and you know
but they have such tremendous sense of
humor you know I one day they made
something a trending topic and I was
really impressed by them and I said wow
I said you guys you guys are the only
people in the world who could you know
make just take any subject and make it a
trending topic you could make the word
cavity a trending topic I put my
blackberry down in 20 minutes later my
friend called me and said man your fans
just made cavity a trending topic people
i think people are afraid of twitter i
think they have issues you know and to
me it’s an awesome way to stay engaged
it’s an awesome way to connect to the
public and your audience get information
out there it’s what you do with it I
think that really makes account and who
you do it with can you maybe elaborate a
bit on certain concepts that have seen
on your Twitter you’ve got the twigs all
right then following here I might have
there’s a hump day so how do we do a
Twitter hug i said i guess it’s at rug
and it’s become just a great thing i
don’t want to sound corny but it’s
there’s a great joy and just you know
doing something so simple and just
pressing that button that update button
and it goes out and i know that on the
other end someone’s gonna smile they’re
gonna sell man i got tagged that’s cool
that’s what the twig is all about but
home day is it’s know it’s just it’s
wednesday it’s the one day in the week i
don’t give out tugs i give out humps
instead of tugs causes problems though
you know some woman’s at work and she’s
out of cubicles oh my god i just got

understand it’s it’s I’m a pop musician
and this and that I don’t think I’m
holier than thou or super important but
I do think it’s important to give in to
in to take time DJ’s turn it loud
