we’re getting a sneak peek at the
subtitle a show totem
why don’t you talk to us a bit more
about the the main thing that’s going on
in the show evolution it’s based on
every species like human animals every
living thing evolution of humankind and
the animal kingdom through into as you
see with the cosmonauts at the end
the man’s aspiration for moving forward
moving upward whether it’s into real
space or whether it’s into cyberspace we
don’t have a linear storyline it doesn’t
start with a beginning and end with an
end each animal is represented there are
butterflies there are fish there are
Turtles the turtle is important because
it’s part of a foundation myth what kind
of themes does the show explore the
relationship between human and their
evolutionary power the parts of the
world and the animals in the world that
we reflect I think it’s a very joyful
optimistic view of men
did this show present any unique
challenges to you that you hadn’t
encountered before in your career every
show every movie everything was like a
new challenge my job is to close the
human form and make the performer be
able to do freely what they need to do
and then on top of that to also tell
part of the story we’re given a new
mandate on this show that we haven’t
done intern shows before to make sure
that all the technical elements of the
show are developed such that they can go
into a big tub but also into an arena
also into other venues like the Royal
Albert Hall in London without major
changes being required so that was our
biggest challenge
previously shows have been adjusted
afterwards we built a hybrid we try in
this show to select discipline that we
never present before so and or try to
present them differently
for instance who dancer we never develop
something before with that beautiful
discipline so we try to be different we
try to represent the content that is
original but meets the most important
