corral booth the corral has just
introduced a new product Corel Painter
10 now a lot of us when we think of
doing editing and photo work on our
computers think of using adobe photoshop
however corel has a lot of powerful
features that really complement
photoshop very nicely so let’s have a
look and see how this product will
really influence and also improve your
artwork and here i’m lucky to be joined
with rob mcdonald’s so we’re here just
to kind of talk about you know what
painter does how it fits into the
industry why it’s important for us to
kind of get to know it may be to start
using it which always be great you can
do a lot of things with it that you just
can’t do with any other application
Photoshop is a very popular program as
we all know now there are brushes in
Photoshop they’re great brushes you just
don’t get the realism that you get at a
Photoshop that you get in painter a lot
of people ask you know why would I use
painter versus Photoshop well actually
you wouldn’t use either or in most cases
you probably use both you just get a
different level of creativity with
painter that you just don’t get in shop
so shop is a digital darkroom it’s great
for you know editing photos doing the
digital darkroom kind of stuff let’s
have some brushes so it does have that
capability painter is a digital art
studio so you know we have very
realistic brushes there’s over 900 in
the application the idea behind painter
is that you can take whatever you can do
on a traditional medium and then do it
digitally I get the sensors a bit more
of an organic sort of 68 word yeah we
like we like to use that quite a bit so
it is a very organic application so when
we have traditionally trained fine
artists coming into painter they know
exactly what’s going on there there’s no
learning curve and you know each one of
those 900 brushes that we have are all
customizable so I mean really it’s
infinite the amount of brushes that you
can have when you look at a painter
image you can see the level of detail
and just the realism and depth that you
get with our brushes that you just don’t
get with any other application
