Common Acting Misconceptions – Part 1

welcome to watchmojo.com my name is shin
tray and today i’ll be talking a little
bit about acting and the three most
important misconceptions of acting first
one i would say is that most people
think it’s pretending really it comes
from a truthful place you are playing a
character in a different situation yes
it may be in a different time but
because you’ll playing that character
everything has to come from within
everything has to come from some more
truthful so for example if you need to
be angry you can’t just play the anger
you have to play why you’re angry where
it comes from and that anger is really
truthful that’s why a lot of might just
have to sort of like calm down and
breathe and be themselves afterwards
because they’re such in a moment one
kids play they they themselves believe
that for example they’re serving pirates
but in their head they are really
pirates and they’re committed to those
characters and when they speak with
their parents for example they still
keep that character being pirates and
that’s what really is is just acting is
just being committed to a situation to a
character
