these two comedians are just as funny
offstage as on stage hi I’m Veronica
watchmojo.com and today we’re speaking
with hi I’m Dan Shak II I’m just as
funny off state is on stage and I am
John fish now you guys both got
interested in comedy at a young age you
were in high school and you were six
years old how does someone get
interested in this field so young I
guess like around my family that almost
call me a comedian when I was really
little didn’t your dad take you to a
George Carlin concert yeah I think I was
about seven when I saw that was my first
concert was George Carlin not a good
concert for a seven-year-old really it
to be honest I remember being in high
school and loving watching like Amy’s
and he used to do like eating in the
grove and on the road and stuff and I
would watch like roseanne barr’s Jerry
Seinfeld and we also love this guy
dennis wolf Berg who died CMOS a been
very honored to introduce jerry seinfeld
on stage i got to introduce Jerry
Seinfeld I got to open forum at Gotham
comedy club in New York City to yom
kippur Zager like right I don’t know
that’s how we’re marking time now but no
that’s what’s funny it’s like you can
never wore my parents you know Jewish
are you my parents like you’re not
allowed to work on High Holidays you’re
not Jewish re ok are you yes ok just
came and like you can’t work on holidays
but like this was a big was rosh
hashanah no my dad was like all right
that’s okay you can do that you can open
for jerry seinfeld doing yeah i’m john
fish what a charming and entertaining
young man
now how did you guys develop your comedy
because you both chose to go clean
rather than dirty I always started like
even cleaner than I am now I think it
was just like what would I be
comfortable doing if my parents were in
the audience I just modeled I was like
whatever I could do with his parents in
the audience do you guys have an ideal
audience that you want to see in the
crowd 35 year old bald men with hairy
backs preferably i have about i would
say 15 minutes on being bald and having
a hairy back so that’s really gonna
resonate who’s like your your base
viewership the internet mom would
probably be foreign women in their 20s
or 30s would be my actual telegraphic
you want a day after the show we just I
don’t know I’ve done work is like a new
york city tour guide to so it’s like I
guess it could be men also but like I
don’t know I tend to be able to connect
with foreigners for some reason he can
guess by just hearing them talking
looking at them where they’re from yeah
he’s probably about 80 but you know
you’re pretty good like seven more I
that I won’t throw it out there on I
can’t just go down to row of people and
be like here from here but I can pick
out certain people yeah it’s a useless
talent and I can tell if you’re gay now
what’s the best compliment someone can
give to a comic after a set well you
like when they use the terminology I
like the money terminology would said
but like good set oh yeah instead of
like nice skit I mean just anything
where they’re like I really enjoyed what
you did as opposed to like a very like
you looked happier this time both those
are the opposite of compliments I get
sometimes do you want to leave us with
any final thoughts don’t date me get
your history cleared out on your
websites because I can get you in
trouble well thank you very much guys
thank you thanks this is fun and thank
you
