hi I’m Veronica with watchmojo.com and
today we’re chatting with two female
comics living in a world of men
comedians Alison door and Alison Smith
so we’re here with the to Alison’s can
you begin by introducing yourself I’m
Alison Smith and I am Alison door on
with the night why this sometimes vowel
crappy crappy 2 l’s also we both have 2
l’s because that’s cool keep one L is
for losers fans sleep so when they
search for your videos i came across how
to flirt like a pro so can you tell us
what’s your secret weapon when dealing
with the opposite sex my tits alison
smith secret weapon is boosts she drinks
a lot and that makes her more forward
and open getting hazy yeah works for all
of us yeah I get very drunk on my first
dates but I don’t call it being drunk I
call it being vulnerable what’s your
secret weapon I’m a woman with a big
loud mouth and dudes don’t like that so
I don’t have one I’m like how can I
trick these dudes into wanting to be
around me and so far all I’ve come up
with his roofies speaking of men Joan
Rivers once said that men find funny
woman intimidating do you see that that
it’s true yeah yeah yes here’s my theory
though and this is like even caveman
days man would do something and women
smile and laugh as like a term of like I
am attracted to you I approve of you I
like you so I think roles are very
reversed when it is the woman being the
funny one I’ve been told a million times
that I’m intimidating and and male
comics have said like that like as
someone as a just a female in general I
find you intimidating and so at this
point I’m just like well you know what I
am what I am and so yeah be afraid I
guess do you think it’s harder for a
comp or female comic to make it in this
industry the general thought from
society is that women are not funny and
we hear it from women also John to so
this is not a male perspective it is a
societal perspective when a man goes up
onstage on a comedy stage audience goes
oh I wonder what is going to say
woman walks up on stage and audience
goes hope she’s funny but I mean that
can also work in your favor because then
if you are funny then they are really
impressed and they’re really blown away
I want the women to see me as their best
friend and I want the guys to see me as
their sister well thank you very much
and good luck with everything thank you
