part of austin comics repertoire to uh

they’re from I’d prefer to sing it
comedian Steve Patterson has been making
people laugh around the globe hi I’m
Veronica watchmojo.com and today we got
the chance to sit down with this
international headliner mojo watch it I
don’t know that isn’t so let’s begin
with how your career began how does one
make an amusement park add two amusing I
wrote an ad for a Walt Disney Land they
were celebrating their 25th anniversary
or something like that and I put you
know this will be the funnest ride
you’ve ever had in a 25 year old they so
were not impressed that debt my boss
said maybe advertising’s not for you and
that’s how I started doing comedy yeah
what has your favorite audience min so
far i did a festival at st. John’s
Newfoundland a couple years ago and the
audience there they’re such great
storytellers themselves they’re so
appreciative of you being there all they
want to do is laugh there’s people with
their hands in each others crotches
that’s all I know it’s a good show
British audiences I find that the
toughest you cannot make fun of British
people as if you’re not British you
can’t make fun of them let’s dedicate
this to all the British people at the
houses song called British song
d
apparently you love everything that’s
Irish my favorite religious holidays
imagine celebration of the Last Supper
the punch of God was 12 buddy okay this
Guinness does this have an influence in
all your acts my dad had a lot of
strange expressions growing up a lot of
strange Irish expressions so I will just
say what my dad said I won’t write it a
joke about it i’ll just say something he
would’ve said and it becomes a joke
you’re enrique iglesias acts touches on
how some people with accents can say
things that other people can’t would you
dance if I asked you to that i’m not
sure if he had some work done and he
can’t quite get a full voice but he
doesn’t all he has as a whisper and he
gave his yes and he always it affects
his eyes I’m only gay gracias you can’t
say that name like a white guy right it

and singing in your show so looking
people expect

songs and you know there’s bands like
fled the concord so i met those guys a
few years ago they’re doing really well
now with musical comedy and i think that
the two go together music gives a nice
energy to the room so if you can do some
music in your act and you can make it
good music you know and be funny at the
same time it’s great well good luck with
everything and thank you very much Thank
