Cody Simpson Discusses ‘Coast to Coast,’ CS Doll

you are now tuned in to watch mojo and
this is not a mirage this is real life
my man coli Simpson how you don’t bring
money good yeah welcome to the show
thanks thanks
let’s talk about your new EP coast to
coast tell us what about what’s the
energy was to vibe a lot of the songs
you know very different from each other
i think i really wanted to show you that
everything that that I could do you know
musically I think you know this song
called angel really a break embraces you
know style of music that I grew up with
you know the jack johnson you know the
guitar like laid-back beach by me cuz
I’m looking we actually went and
recorded it like we were going in to
record a full-length album you know and
because that’s what I thought it was
going to be and then you know we decided
to make it a six-song EP and really lit
up to the full-length album coming out
around March April next year yeah
Oh
possible your first thing go on my mind
it’s definitely sweet song I guess you
know ladies and everything you know if
the concept of the actual song is about
you know go that that you met and the I
guess ever since you met her you really
haven’t been able to get her off your
mind I guess
I want to be there
let’s talk about your new research about
this recently job not just you
yeah we um we put a video out to that
race to Leon you know it’s it’s a ballad
and in the video i guess i wanted to
make it a very sad and like emotional
video because you know people on the
videos that I put out previously you
know all I’ve like happy endings and
stuff and this time and I think the girl
actually leaves me and something that
you know people I don’t think we’re
really expecting but it’s a very
emotional song and something that um
definitely and I’m pretty personal
everything to so it’s cool that I had to
share that with the fancy stuff yeah we
let people know you’re human you can get
hurt too yeah yeah exactly nothing wrong
with that let’s stop the boat you’re a
doll at toys r us so Cody Simpson dog
real done right yeah hey cool site also
bought the stock and what toys are
watching our parts me recently I’m it
was actually it all came together very
quickly you know it wasn’t it wasn’t
only a few months ago and they’re like
do it like we want to create a doll of
you like with you the bad toys r us for
the holidays and you can’t say that you
know I have a younger brother and a
younger sister and stuff I guess I know
what it’s like but kids United excited
they can be no in toys r us and
everything and it’s just got to be very
surreal when I see that on the shelves
in the stores and stuff I mean it and
they did an amazing job of putting it
together it looks it looks very much
like me and I’m really excited yet
who chose the office you have a chance
to you know choose the outfits that the
dog I did I did have a chance to UM I
guess contribute to what it’s wearing
and stuffing that I tried to base it
around things that I think people have
seen your way before and stuff and we
got a few more um coming out next year
too
I tell you the old
what’s the nicest thing that a fan has
done for you I’ve been given like a
bunch of like scrap books and stuff that
they make their like probably that thick
we knew we’re going to make you like
four months ago so we started making the
scrapbooking is full of like handwritten
like notes and pictures and stuff I love
that more because it shows that they you
know really taking the time to do that
and how I like really appreciate that
especially you know they’re extremely
dedicated
