Backstreet Boys this artist released his
second solo album hi I’m Rebecca Braden

we’ll be speaking with Nick Carter about
I’m taking off I am taking off is your
first solo effort since 2002 why the
long break I was doing tours with the
Backstreet Boys
I had albums that we had released we
need to do those cycles as well but I
guess I couldn’t say I use that as an
excuse to sort of really just pull away
there was a lot of things that were out
of my control certain managers that
didn’t know how to leave me in right
direction and and I wasn’t even ready as
a person I felt that there was so many
things that I had to learn and that’s
what I did is I went back to school and
with the Backstreet Boys you’re able to
meet new producers learn more about
music you know played more guitar or
learned that better and there’s just so
many different things and tools that I
acquired that I was able to apply to the
new record and the relaunch is well how
would you say it represents you
obviously I’m always trying to grow you
know to the next stage but I think it’s
it’s a it’s a perfect representation for
the time being because it encompasses
everything that I’m good at doing pop
music rock music wrote on all the songs
with different writers and you know I
consciously made a decision before I
stepped into the studio that I was gonna
have my hands and everything from the
picking the photographer to writing the
treatments for the new music video and
co-directing it the overall before I
even stepped in the studio was it’s
gonna be natural easy it’s just gonna be
me
what else do you hope to achieve in your
solo career when I step on stage and
have a great performance that’s an
achievement you know when I if I get a
gold record that’s great but you know
really it’s all it’s it’s internal and
it’s satisfying you know that’s that’s
how I base my achievements you have
goals that I’ve set you know from making
movies and finishing screenplays and
acting and continuing to just grow as an
artist you know I think I’m always
trying to learn which is more the most
important you always studying music
always trying to absorb something new a
new melody a new lyric how did you
manage to find time to put out your
second solo album in the midst of all
the nkotbsb crazy everything is
accomplished I think with hard work you
know that’s its motto that I have and
hard work pays off and you look at
nkotbsb and what we’re doing and and
it’s a reminder of who we are as artists
and there are two completely different
scenarios you know but but they’re both
very exciting
