I’m here with the lovely Cheryl a sales
assistant at the american apparel store
and she’s going to provide us with some
insight and guidance into a couple
fashion questions so what’s the big
theme that all of this fits into okay
we’re focusing a lot on like 70s 80s 90s
inspired dance where things that tuck in
body suits look great with short shorts
and you know bigger pants jeans you can
wear them with the whole gig some retro
styles that have a modern day look too
and what would you say is the biggest
theme in all of that being comfortable
but also you know emitting a look
projecting look getting lines out there
that really act to people who are
actually working in theater and modeling
and acting can wear to an audition or
we’re out and about to show their stuff
and what’s more popular for men and and
what’s more popular with the girls for
women it’s just it’s got a shot that
cuts real really sharp lines stuff that
you can feel comfortable in and look
look not look too dressy in but take out
and put in many different situations for
a man um taking the basic t-shirt giving
it a more modern cut a slightly tighter
like more streamlined cut through the
body Oh Friday okay uh huh huh huh so
when they come to the door who do you
think has it has it easier shopping wise
the men or the women well maybe the men
is they’re the ones that you know it get
to enjoy all the girls like trying out
the new styles of this line what’s the
biggest fabric this season um really
just the fabric that’s new for us that’s
coming to the store is the 50-50 blend
which is half cotton half polyester and
we’ve been working into the t-shirts and
it gives that really comfortable feel it
falls really nicely without creasing and
it’s got that kind of worn look to it
which a lot of the guys like these days
in terms of the vintage appeal so who’s
shopping at a young people looking for
comfort and good cuts looking for the
style and all right and do you think
there’s any range of colors or color and
specific that american apparel is really
pushing this season vintage primaries
for guys like that the canary yellow and
the bright blue like the Royal Blues and
we have a couple of staples like kelly
green bright green just like okay good
color at this store is all about finding
what looks good on you with your
coloring not being scared to try out new
colors and and just working the style
based on like how the color shows off
who you are okay no I hate I think I
