this magicians performances are not
quite tricks but they are amazing hi I’m
Rebecca Brayton and welcome to
watchmojo.com and today David Lyon will
be dazzling us with his special brand of
magic for good while when I first got
into magic for the first year I was
performing just with the deck of cards
but eventually I wanted to be able to do
something more because people would ask
me know could you do anything other than
card tricks and eventually I came across
meeting this magician named Sasha and he
was kind enough to teach me my first
demonstration using money my first thing
without cards whereas I borrow someone’s
bill a 5 or 10 or 20 and I turn it into
$100 in front of their eyes so I went up
to these two girls an Aston if they had
a $5 bill like a burro and they lent
they passed it to me and little did I
know that as soon as I started standing
like this and kind of making it look
like I’m doing something people were
gonna start gathering around and so
about 50 people crowded around me and
this is what turned into being my first
performance and all I did was tell them
to watch as I took the bill and it’s
gonna fold it as evenly as possible I
just want you to imagine as I do this
what would be the most impressive thing
that I could do with a $5 bill we get
different answers and whatnot I mean I
would just continue to fold it until
visually you just kind of saw the color
start to melt almost like it started to
change and then it visually just started
to look like 100 dollars then I gave
that out and that was my very first
performance and I was actually such a
huge reaction that people ran out the
school screaming oh crap oh crap
that was how I know that this is what I
was destined to do if I could create
that kind of reaction on my first
performance Lionism was meant to be
alright so I just want you guys to see
just a regular deck of cards all the
cards are different all right and you’re
gonna go ahead and just take any card
that appeals to you
three of diamonds any reason why I took
the three of diamonds really just like
that you want to hold out your hand like
a table for me just like that perfect
all right so just what’s gonna happen if
I give you the three diamonds to hold
for now and you’re gonna put your other
hand on top like a sandwich
exactly I just want you to watch and
remember this car jacker heights now you
may feel this you may not but I just
want you to be aware of the sensations
in your hands as I do this watch imagine
if I could literally just take my hand
and wave watch how did that card that
was able to switch places just like that
three diamonds look open up your hands
and that’s actually a David Blaine remix
so I call that Oh – David Blaine what I
want to try with you is this is
genuinely an experiment all right so it
may or may not work it doesn’t work no
one will see it um you have a open mind
though yeah okay so as I want you do yes
then just like this um chinami facing
more like this are you right-handed or
left-handed right-handed hold out your
right hand and I want you just to hold
this bottle comfortably all right and I
want you to just become aware of holding
that bottle as weird as that sounds I
also want you to notice the cap is on
the bottom now in a moment I’m a count
from 1 to 3 on the count of 3 I just
want you to close your eyes and just
follow my instructions all right I’m not
gonna hypnotize you I’m just gonna guide
you along the energy one two three
close your eyes and just relax and I
want you to feel an energy coming up
your spine
through your arm and into that bottle
very good and I’m just gonna actually
tighten the cap of the bottle because I
want to make I took a sip earlier I want
to make sure it’s perfectly tight all
right now in a moment as you feel the
energy of the bottle and of your hand
and all the energy around you what I
want you to do is when I snap my fingers
like this you’re going to begin to turn
the bottle upside down all right no
matter what you hear no matter what you
see in your mind no matter what you feel
this remain completely relaxed and
listen to my instructions make sense all
right when it’s not my fingers go start
turning upside down turn it turns very
good very good just keep that focus keep
that focus I’m just going to hold you
like this now look in a moment I’m gonna
