a male fashion show is a collaboration
of two talented people and two forms of
our hi I’m Veronica watchmojo.com and
today we’re looking at designs from a
fashion designer who uses fabrics
printed with artwork for people who
don’t know about the collaboration can
you tell us about it I’m an artist from
New York City and I’m living here in
Montreal and we met at an art opening
and we became very good friends and the
modulating I were talking about how to
develop some of my art into fabric and
into the scarves which was our first
project in collaboration and then we
took that idea and we just kind of push
it forward like what are we going to do
next he tell us how this collaboration
has evolved since the silk scarves it’s
just trimming mostly solids with a
little bit of accent of the print and
then the other thing that we’re
featuring is that a lot of the garments
are reversible so they’re solid on one
side and you can see the entire print on
the other side is it true that no two
pieces are alike that’s true because the
print is very wide so when I cut a piece
I could never reproduce the same one
it’s always in a different area until
you get a different part of the painting
now what are some key pieces that we
should look out for tonight the t-shirts
were just something that I always wanted
to do I mean the t-shirts are so current
I will say we have a variety I think we
have some pieces that are very casual I
could say career oriented and then we
have some pieces that are more elegant
we have some ball gowns too so I think
that throughout the collection we’ve
spread it out so that we have a nice mix
one of the things I love about your
collection is that it’s so sexy and
feminine but it’s perfect for all body
types that’s really what I focus on when
I design I make things that I would
actually wear myself and I use that as a
gauge because if I would wear it and I
think
people that i know would also like to
wear that and i try to keep the
silhouettes pretty basic and classic i
think that really the elegance of the
clothing would be something to look at
