the sport a superbike is fast-paced and
technical
hi I’m Miranda light stone with
watchmojo.com and today we’re going to
talk to a few of the top writers on the
track so how did you get into Superbike
racing
just like I guess any kid in sports but
he’s someone in their family is not in
my dad wrote a little bit
got me on a bike at a young age and just
kept doing well and escalated from there
and what do you like most about
Superbike racing winning not it’s why
we’re here really is the drying winds
and that’s that in any sport that means
successful that’s the most gratifying
part of it and what’s the hardest part
about getting on the track the Superbike
it’s just very draining to to get
yourself ready for the event and then
when you get out there it’s not just
about being able to ride well you know
you have to sometimes you have machine
problems sometimes the bike just not
working you’re chasing a setup so
there’s a lot involved and having a good
team behind you is really really
important and what is it that you really
love most about Viking just in general
not just racing but about being on a
bike I have changes through your life
when you’re young you just want to rip
you know you’re a little wild and want
to go and then as you get older you
really enjoy just working on the bike
and working with the team and racing and
winning and now my my wife fame is she
races as well so we have a lot of fun
doing that together it’s kind of a
family thing my dads have talked before
easier work into so it’s a really fun
thing for the whole family
to race through bikes you gotta be
really comfortable with a lot of high
speed and a lot of lean angle because
it’s a what it takes to go fast around
these tracks you’re pretty young when
you do get started in Superbike i was 14
when i started my dad got me into it
because he used to race and i grew up
around the track now when you’re on the
race track of Superbike how many guys
are out there with you usually I think
the maximum that we’ve had is about 30
riders or twenty five riders or kind of
etiquette do you have on the road well
when we are all out there together
everybody’s a pretty safe rider
everybody knows what the risks are so
nobody wants to hurt each other once you
get like space down and erase your all
with the same riders that are going your
pace so it’s usually pretty safe have
you ever had some really bad crashes
I’ve been fortunate not to have
seriously hurt myself so I’ve I’ve had
some bad crashes but not none of this
track just uh I probably my worst
crashes at mosport where I had like I
get off at the top corner to which is a
really fast corner and like one into the
wall but luckily there was some hay
bails there so I got out and instated
state of kept riding what do you see in
the future Superbike racing for you I
can’t wait to keep on further in my
career and stepping up to the next level
cool thank you very much thank you
you
