1953 – Playboy Magazine

the first issue of Playboy hit the
stands in December of 1953 there was no
date on the cover because founder Hugh
Hefner was unsure if there’d be a second
issue however it is now the largest
men’s magazine with sales of over three
million dollars per year the famous logo
first appeared on the second issue and
has appeared on every cover since
