welcome to watchmojo.com and today we’re
bringing you ten questions with thirty
Seconds to Mars
I mean it’s really not that hard
honestly used you get a lot of sleep you
love what you do and you genuinely enjoy
the time on stage I mean we really get
filled with that energy the moment that
we walk onto the stage it’s uh it’s a
daily thing and we’re grateful and we
love it
celery and cashews and that too
to us it’s really normal and organic and
I would think it would be that way for
every artist and their audience around
the world but I guess it’s not because
it’s always pointed out that it’s it’s
unique and it’s different and that
that’s a that’s a nice thing but we
really just do what seems to make sense
for us and I think we have a lot of
curiosity and want to make a music video
interview fans it’s because I’m
interested there’s really no other
motivation behind it music as my frogs
it’s my addiction I need music is that I
I think what we learned is in the video
for do or die and you know you can watch
it on VEVO YouTube people shared really
deep personal stories with us and it was
it was really beautiful make the best
out of every day because tomorrow the
world could be a totally different
you know Bob Dylan said something
interesting about you know people coming
up to him and I don’t know if is
specifically about fans but he says just
because you like my music doesn’t mean I
owe you anything and I think he does
have a point you know just because we
make music doesn’t mean we owe anybody
anything either but I think we have a
genuine interesting curiosity and people
and people that have supported us
this is war was surrounded by a thirty
million dollar lawsuit it was kind of
like the end of a chapter and love lust
faith and dreams definitely is the
beginning of an avenue vol it’s like the
end of one volume was this is war now
this is a whole new book to write and it
just feels like that I don’t know really
how to explain it it just feels like a
new beginning
you know for me it’s bright lights again
because that’s becoming uh it’s getting
up there and it’s such a great song
things yet to come we’re just thinking
of a really beautiful video idea for
that song I started something like
really simple yes today I just came up
with the whole video idea sitting here
so thanks for the interview I got what I
needed
play this
I think it would be interesting to go to
space yeah and like a meditative way I
didn’t really think you know when you
hear to hear that question people ask
you it’s like you don’t even really hear
it because you get you know it’s just
like one of those questions I don’t
think about it if you really think about
it the process would be probably really
difficult
pretty scary part of it claustrophobic
but you know if I guess what would be
interesting is looking at the stars is
like if you could if you had a great
observation point but I would have that
you know they’re gonna have to work a
couple of things out first because it’s
a little little little claustrophobic as
it is now
yes we do but their secret yeah that’s
better you’d have to punish you punished
I think my brother and I will we talked
about that ever since we started making
music but we never wanted to be
pigeonholed to one genre or style and
and I think if you use guitars but we’re
gonna call you a rock band but you know
this album there are a lot of songs with
no guitars sometimes people don’t
realize it you know but it’s nice to
break boundaries
I said early or something that I’ve
never said before and it was that this
album made me excited about writing
music because of the process and I think
that you know regardless how successful
or not this album is it’s it’s it’s
shattered in expectation so that we can
now maneuver in a way anyway we want you
know there are really sparse dark songs
here that you would find on an album and
a world completely different than us
like bright lights or end of all days
songs that you wouldn’t expect on a
thirty Seconds warrants or thirty
Seconds to Mars album and I think that’s
uh that’s that makes it really fun
bringing you ten questions with thirty
