to be honest my October was really bad
you know I wanted to build a dance
community in Langley so I went to high
schools middle schools municipalities I
talked to all the heads I pitched my
idea and they loved it so they asked me
to follow up and what happened nothing
nothing happening just like what I do at
school
nothing what I do at home nothing
productive just gaming want to get out
of dance rehearsals I walk out getting
nothing achieving nothing learning
nothing you relevant useless
insignificant worthless but today I woke
up and I told myself that today I am
going to be important I show you know
what scratch that today tomorrow and
every day after that I’m going to be
important but that’s just not me that is
you guys – you guys are important you
guys are ready to be here it’s you and
me and our worth in our community we can
go beyond worthy you can go far you can
achieve what you want achieve you can
make the impossible possible and how I
did in my life is I went with what I
call my three ends my three ends and no
helps and no the three words that you’ll
be seeing here are not it’s not just
because it’s in but it’s because when
you enter a community or enter something
that you’re passionate about you want to
go in hard you want to go on it you want
to get the experience what absorb
everything go big or go home so II just
gotta take it in you just
over it so going into individuality big
an individual you have purpose you want
to be something you gotta be yourself
you gotta have confidence in yourself
yeah
take out your IDs all of you take out
your IDs get your gold card you don’t
have to show it to me just take it out
okay look at that look at that picture
if you can’t see that’s fine but that
picture is you that is you yeah you
might have the same name as another
person but you won’t be the same person
you won’t be the Joe that this person
knows or that person knows your unique
Joel you are somebody that the community
has built if your family your friends
your group your team building you it’s
like what George Bernard Shaw once said
life isn’t about finding yourself life
is about creating yourself we are giving
you the tools to help find you help
create you help build you up so that we
can see about me here and you need to
know that at the end of the day it’s all
about you it’s okay to be a little bit
selfish so now that you have found
yourself you have intention you have a
goal and a purpose and with every goal
every purpose you have a drive to get
somewhere to go some to be somewhere to
be something and someone here can you
yell out your occupation or what you
want to do what you want become tell me
what you want to do
I’m hearing teacher lots of different
things
bro we’re just working together to get
to that point we’re trying to go up and
become the person that we want to be
that’s our intention and I Drive but
with every Drive is progress and
progress is one of the best things you
can ever take from being fulfilled with
intent now let’s get out of the
community part part per site let’s talk
about my first day back in high school
my mom she didn’t want me to take
anybody she’s like you gotta go study
her and I get it my girls but I got a
mire them from afar but after I
graduated you know I told myself I think
it’s time to try something new to go on
a date with somebody so last summer I
went on a date I asked a girl and it
wasn’t the best proposal but we went out
and honestly that experience was so
fantastic but spoiler I didn’t get the
girl but that’s not what I’m trying to
say here the takeaway is is that I got
closer I got what was that close to turn
and it’s not that I want to become
boyfriend/girlfriend with her but just
to be get to know her more just to be
have a better bond you know like now
she’s one of my best friends I can rely
on and also we have a good snap streak
yeah but it’s a progress that I really
took out of that and you can either get
75% 50% 25% even that 1% that is one
step closer to your
and you’re just going to go up and up
and up until you hit 100% or you move on
to another thing that is what we call
progress and now that you found yourself
now you have intention you know you are
given the tools and you know what you
want to do now inspire others
I believe knowledge is free I believe
you should share with everybody you want
them to grow with you as well these are
your peers your friends your family your
community they aren’t there for you and
you should be there for them give back
you know let me do an example for you
all right see this coin purse okay
this is all your ideas all of your
impact okay now I got some coins here I
can get it
so we have a tuning we have Oh an
American penny I also have a Filipino
vessel dimes and nickels and quarters
these represent you or people around you
yes we don’t have any in Canada but we
have a penny in America so that means
you’re not worthless you are still worth
something
something to hold on to now if I open up
my coin purse for all my ideas and I put
it all in before this was like and now
this is heavy this is your impact that
you do to all these people inside here
this is why you can give back
this is the legacy you can leave it’s
what steven kobe once said find your
voice inspire others to find theirs so
to sum it all up individuality intention
inspiration as let me tell you about a
little bit about me I started dancing
because not for the popularity but I
wanted to be unique I called myself al
one and when you spell al one it spells
alone and alone basically means being
myself like where I am right now but you
gotta take the pleasant of the negative
as l1 I define myself as motivating one
of you guys to feel want to give love
wanting to share and now that I found my
purpose my tribe my progress I wanted to
get more dance knowledge I went out to
Vancouver Burnaby Richmond my adventures
also took me to LA
Seattle just to learn dance Philippines
to and after all those experiences I
didn’t keep it for myself
no I came back and I gave it to
everybody that you not just dance
knowledge but in life knowledge to
giving back and now I have a dance class
and I have a dance team that I’m
starting up at York secrete metal so
here’s to you you can forget my whole
