so we live in a world that is becoming
increasingly more diverse and what I
mean by that is that we the current
generation have infinitely more options
than we did even 20 years ago
jobs that were once considered pastimes
they’re not actual professions
technology has opened up thousands of
new roles and opportunities and as a
result new forms of art literature and
even public service haven’t have emerged
as a result now this is a little bit
obscure and you may be wondering why
does this or how does this even apply to
passion well in today’s society there
are actually a few ways where we can
take what otherwise would have been just
a hobby and actually turn that hobby
into a career now the fact that a
ten-year-old can look ahead and see
themselves as not only as a doctor or an
engineer but as a movie animator and
activist or even a professional video
game player is likely one of the
greatest socio-economic developments of
our time the fact that so many jobs now
exist is basically gives our generation
more shots and more chances that
following their dreams than ever before
now if you’ve ever heard of the quote if
you love what you do you’ll never work a
day in your life it’s it’s a little
cheesy but it it can be extremely
accurate
now if what you do for fun and what you
do for a living are the same thing then
you’re not really working are you see
what I see is the problem with our world
is that too many people are stuck in
boring day jobs they don’t enjoy and for
eight hours every single day
they’re basically subjected to torture
and getting rid of this is what I
believe to be the secret to happiness
you love your job you go to work you go
home and you go back to the job that you
love every single day
I mean what’s better than that so there
are a few ways in which one can kind of
bring themselves to this possibility so
everybody from the time they are 10
should experience as many things as
possible they should be part of a
movement they should volunteer for a
cause and they should try out as many
as they can all in an effort to
basically take advantage of every
program activity and opportunity two
days world offers now there are hundreds
and hundreds and hundreds of great great
you know quotes and not cross there are
hundreds of awesome examples of people
following their passions into the
workplace now we have the tech giant
Steve Jobs and Bill Gates the inventor
of penicillin Andrew Fleming and even
just their sorry even JK Rowling writers
some of the most critically acclaimed
fantasy novels in all of history another
great example would be everyone speaking
here today we’re all passionate about
sharing our ideas and our thoughts with
all of you and for elite me at least
nothing makes me happier in the world
and to speak my mind in front of an
audience now now the problem with
today’s world is that not enough people
are pursuing their passions in the first
place and that is what I believe is one
of the greatest issues with our America
and our world now there are a few ways
that one can actually go through this
but the greatest way is to just drop
everything in experience as much as you
can if anybody offers you an experience
you need to take it because that could
be the one time where you truly discover
what you love and what you’re passionate
about whether it be taking cooking
classes or attending seminars at a local
university your passion your search for
your passion should see no bounds
because there aren’t any now as I wrap
this up if you should remember anything
from this short but sweet talk let it be
this look for what you love and you will
find it and when you do pursue it with
everything you have money is worthless
if you suffer constantly to earn it and
the best way to truly be happy is to
love every single second of your life
starting with getting paid for doing
what you love every single day thank you
you
