worldwide has a persons with disability
while I was pursuing my path to create
identity and was enrolled in the
commerce program of Cynthia’s College
Calcutta my dream then was to become
financially independent I knew deep in
my heart that I was not good enough the
Commerce degree was not good enough to
achieve my goals I decided to pursue my
MBA and I wrote a letter to the AIIMS
admission chairperson inquiring whether
there is a provision for reservation
quota as mandate by persons with
disability act 1995 whether additional
time would be permitted to take answers
those a visual pictographs questions and
whether I would be allowed to use a
writer I received a letter and I was
shocked to read the letter from the
AIIMS admission chairperson that stating
that no reservation quota exists no
additional time would be permitted and
yes I could appoint my own writer
growing up in the United States in state
of Oregon where I received my primary
secondary and partial college education
and filing a lawsuit for something that
does not seem right was a regular norm
and I was constantly encouraged by my
American aunt to stand up fight for your
rights even though if you have to fight
alone I decided to file a lawsuit in the
court of disability at New Delhi my
father received a letter from the
disability court asked
me to appear for hearing my father
cautioned me that litigation in this
country is a long-drawn process and a
costly affair I was determined to take
it to the logical end I appealed for
hearing both physically and virtually in
the end after a series of telephonic
conversation the court declared not only
reservations for the IMS but they have
also initiated reservation quota for the
disabled across IPS college and
universities and colleges in India like
all MBA aspirin I’m a person with an
average IQ but willing to excel I wanted
to learn how to crack Common Admission

strategies and wanted to enroll into a
coaching Institute can you believe it I
was actually declined by its eight

rights I appealed to him and asked him

reconsider his decision as other sighted
colleagues has study materials which
they can access with ease and now all
I’m asking it’s just an alternative mode
of studying I continued my search for a
study materials and came across a cd-rom
which actually had some past question
papers well the day of exams I was
assigned into a library and the
invigilator was so amused with the fact
that someone a blind candidate writing
an aptitude test
she started showcasing as if I was the
eight wonders of the world and her
colleague would ask walk up to me and
asked me hey how do you do this how do
you do this how do you study and my
one-liner answer would be so ma’am I
would love to answer your question not
now after the exams well results of my
albums came out failed results of Excel
are I came up did not clear result of
symbiosis Center for management and a
charity came out missed three marks in
the data interpretation section section

Andhra Pradesh who was frantically
trying to enroll her autistic child and
she visited the centre seven times
despite the best of fault of the
operators the autistic child was not
enrolled because of the technology
constraint of allowing operators only
three attempts to capture biometric I
brought this issue to the technology
team and they were kind enough to make a
slight modification which allowed
operators infinite number of attempts in
capturing biometrics and hence autistic
residents could be enrolled with ease we
wanted to conduct a pilot
proof-of-concept by enrolling leprosy
affected residents we faced a huge
resistance from the enrolment agencies
and the relevant stakeholders because
they were the victim of society’s
perception that they would get this
disease infected themselves we had to
carry a series of workshop and
initiatives in order to convince them
and when their mindsets and we were
successful in conducting a pilot
enrollment for the leprosy affected RAZR
residents in Andhra Pradesh first time
in India I have seen some of the finest
example of inclusions displayed by the
government of India will never actually
walked the extra mile to include well we
are all familiar with his famous

Graham Bell Thomas Edison Stephen
Hawkins who has changed the face of the

Samedi some terrible news my relative is

going to lose all of his eyesight

his eyesight but he’s not lost his inner
