environment for her son’s education or
growth for centuries Chinese parents
followed her path traveling around the
city around country and travelling

so important because education is the
foundation for a child’s development and
his or her possibility in the society we
all care about our children’s education
but how to do it differs from the East
and the West
my name is Tasha Leo I leave half of my
life in the East halluf in the West I
received my education from both world
when meeting the foreign or Western
people the first time I’m often
confronted with this question hey I
heard about Asian parenting style
sometimes they put on a scared face they
asked me are you a tiger mom well how do
you think am i okay you’re laughing I
may look sweet and soft like a cat but
remember I come from Asia I am a mom and
I care about my son’s education and I’m
we’re prepared physically and mentally
to fight fight for the constraints that
existed in our environment in our
circumstances to ensure the best
education for my son so no doubt I am a
tiger mom from Asia and today I’m going
to tell you what is the secret of the
tiger mothers how the tiger mothers
around the world help their children to
have a high performance in almost any
Society in almost any country it is not
what we do but what we believe there are
three beliefs that stir the Tiger moms
in the world and their actions the first
one
education leads to positive social

throughout my education or my childhood
my family constantly reminds me you need
to work hard because education is the
only way to move us from the current

whole family work together to ensure

by our next generation and the teachers

in the society and we honor the teacher
every years we celebrate the teachers
day on the Confucius birthday and we say
one day a teacher a father a life so now
it’s the second belief every child has
talents oh our parents and the teachers
have disbelief and take the
responsibility to cultivate our
potentials and you know what the parents
do we assign various assignments for all
kinds of subjects that you can think of
mathematics
literature arts dance piano music yeah
now you know why Asian kids don’t have
time to play with other kids after
school when I was in a high school the
school starts at 7:30 in the morning and
at 5:00
sometimes we stayed at school until 7:00
or 9:00 p.m. if there’s important exams
ahead we were expected to go to school
in the weekends yeah our parents always
believed in me or leaving us you will be
somebody in the future and they know how
to cultivate our potentials by the long
our study and the long study performance
they will always say hey come on the
neighbors kids get great 99 so you can
do it or they will say your cousin just
won the first price of the piano contest
so you can do it too but what if my
child only have little talent or all the
potential are gone
don’t worry because Tiger moms has the
third leaf hard work bits talents Thomas
Edison says genius is 1% talent and the
99% hard work
no hard work no genius so that’s the
reason
Tyco moms always cultivate the
self-regulation and the displaying for
hard work in school my teacher gave us
individual goes for the grades and then
paired us with each other who are from
the same level for competition so how
did it work
after received the results I got grades
ninety and my competitor got 88 sorry my
competitor will get punishment for two
points loss and how about me I was the
winner but I didn’t reach my goal which
was 95 so my teacher will punish me by
beating me on my hands with a stick for
five times so now you may know great in
some Asian education setting it is not
an indicator for how much you have
learned or how much you have achieved
but a reference to tell you that where
you stand at this moment and how much
you are expected to go further Asian
students have high performance in the
world cannot be explained by their
individual talents but by practice
and the practice and the practice again
and again under the supervision of the
