how everybody knows about that media all
cells are like telling you that this is
such and this is dude kind of thing but
like I tried that two or three years ago
in fact the reason I did it was my
family members and my friends they used
to send few things which were quite
annoying they said that if you drink
this particular code link you’ll get
AIDS kind of stuff you all are aware of
so that was a mine I used to search on
net I used to come across some websites
which gave proper proof and I used to
share those link with my family members
and all but then I thought that nobody
is India in India is doing it so let’s
move forward it I started from like
Facebook I know I did it on from all
platforms I started so like what exactly
is fake news fake news you know the word
you know about it but it has different
type of deserve different type different
genres even misinformation disinfect
something could be totally fabricated
Photoshop or something but then there
are things which are like trimmed some
video is trimmed for to prove to
something to you so this fake news let’s
move forward with this okay so like we
all think that somehow technology has
exaggerated exaggerated with the smart
phones in our hand with the data now so
costing so low but fake news is
something very old in muhammara when
Bhishma died we the sir Krishna the
Dronacharya took the responsibility of
Corvus so Krishna’s thought straight
away that this guy this dronacharya
cannot be defeated at all he has the
Divi Ostrow and Brahmastra and he has
all the knowledge and respect he told
her so he came up with a plan for
strategy he knew the only
weakness dronacharya has his his son
ashwathama
so now how to go about it he thought he
formed a strategy he he he
at first he told the Arjun to do this
but he denied that he’s my teacher I
cannot do anything wrong
so he told him not to kill a elephant
which also had the name of a sitamma
and he Bhima killed a sitamma and he
came out shouting oh yes I killed a
sitamma and everybody started like over
so Tama is dead as autumn is dead but do
not area
he was like taken aback for a short
while but he that these that must be
lying so he discarded it but then he
wanted to confirm he went to use it
because you this serious like he cannot
lie at all he’s a the guy so he asked
him you disturb started telling that yes
a sitamma died and he continued but I’m
not sure whether it was an elephant or a
men but in that vertical a particular
time when he said Osama died Krishna
asked all the people to start with whole
negara and everything so Dronacharya
ultimately ended up listening only to
his first part that ESS ultimate die and
he believed in it and then he gave up he
surrendered so this is like what is
going us with right now it’s going for
money for pranks or votes for religion
but everything people are this is
disinformation basically there was one
video going on and what sir
it says that she ladies actors died just
few days back
it showed that these are somebody in a
coffee maker in Istanbul Turkey paid
homage to Sridevi and made a made her
face on a let it is called a let it art
they make a different kind of patterns
and things on it so what actually
happened was everybody its own going on
what set one one of the best actor also
tweeted that video that this is a homage
to Sridevi and but then and
Media House picked it up believing in
that actor and it’s on popular watch
suppose it’s viral
what’s up also but that actually was
done by this a coffee just like
Starbucks and by Lisa there’s a coffee
chain called Gloria Jean’s cafe
international so in Dunbar
South Africa they ran that particular
they made that video and it was
dedicated for it was sold on Diamond
Woman’s Day in May 2017
that video was I had to dug up a lot but
then I came across it had it was the
exact same video there was one more in
fact mainstream media houses when all
the media also gender stuff yes this is
this was it you most of many of you
people might have received this one word
cell so this was actually done in Denver
South Africa May 2017 as a dedication
for women’s day it has nothing to do
with Sridevi but many are like making it
viral okay this video was also while
claiming that fake currency notes are
caught in Bangladesh being printed in
Bangladesh so this was quite viral and
yes this look quite genuine but this
this doesn’t need any rocket science I
just looked at the video closely see
basically these all are working on our
emotions our panic mode this when I
looked at this video closely it says 38
children Bank it’s not party at is open
it says party children Bank then next
250 it’s written coupon not fifty rupees
so that was worth noticing which people
didn’t and that was that’s how it became
by them so this is one of the things
which we when we receive a video
something we need to look at it closely
not just forward it right away
so what we have to do about it like what
why and how of it why people do it
people are doing it because many do it
for money because they they generate
traffic to their websites using such
things
mainstream media houses rent this video
claiming there was the warning of okie
song lost in December 2017 so media
houses
a video that desire hailstorm that this
is happen on Mumbai Pune highway so the
first thing which took me like which I
noticed about this how people who people
are driving on right side of the highway
in India we don’t which even media
failed to notice second is I looked
through entire video I came across a
number plate of one car which was not an
Indian format I look for that particular
format it was from Turkey then I start
looking in Turkey people I came across a
journalist who took this who posted this
video in April 2017 and it happened in
Istanbul so when I quoted all the media
houses many deleted their tweets and
everything but many are still there and
I have archived all of them I have
proved that they did print this again
cause of his major roof of my media
houses they all claim the even one
newspaper put it in their front page
claiming that this flood was in
Ahmedabad Airport last year but I
thought I have seen this somewhere I did
some researching on it I I found the
proof that this particular photo was
from Chennai Airport December 2015
so again many media houses few apologize
you deleted but nothing actually changed
then Christopher Nolan in eight years
back in 2010 he gave us a science
fiction inception the job was the entire
story is revolved around planting an
idea in somebody’s mind
so the dominica was planting idea there
were different stages they are people
putting people to sleep and all but now
that’s not even necessary we just
forward one button and we plant idea
into somebody else’s mind we are sharing
many people are spreading this fake news
this intention to get words to get to to
fool someone to spread hatred against
particular religion so this is how they
are planting ideas in our mind using
whatsapp and Twitter and Facebook so
like inception which was a science
fiction then is a reality now so why are
doing this I have just explained money
how do
why do they do it for money they there
are like click bits they give you some
example that oh this particular guy has
said this and oh my god how can he said
this so we just click on that link go
and read to our intestine which doesn’t
have any source any proof at all but if
that page is full with advertisements
banners all around so they ultimately
got a hit from my site and they ended up
Andy getting money and they have so much
you see if someone if they have posted
something in favor of ruling party or
like one particular religion all the
people bias towards this they will share
that particular thing whether true or
not they will share this and so they
these will get a get up like thousands
of share and they make money out of it
it doesn’t they don’t have anything to
do with truth or false or any sources
but building a masala they just give out
some give you something very interesting
which you share
so yes politics may they added to what
you call they added videos they
Photoshop many pictures in religion
there had been many cases I have also
debunk many they pick up video from some
Brazil or somewhere else which was
posted in 2010 in 2012 and they give
this of you on what’s up say BQE media
vehicle who I became media political get
such a bad theater shaker then it’s like
a challenge for us that we have to prove
oh yes I’m affected that mean we need to
for where we fall and we key forward in
such things and pranksters as I said
that a people deep yoga though operates
but I got those to be kind of so that
could be termed as like brand conflicts
or something recently there was like
laser chips are made of plastic so what
I did was when one guy put picked up of
the chip and he put it on his gas and it
was a bunny so I thought oh my god I had
been eating this in my entire life and
I’m still alive so what could be wrong
so I advised my girl Kibaki lekha chips
yoga weapon high wire and I tried it
with my this Monaco’s biscuits so they
all burnt in the very same way now
I have told you about the websites the
websites are actually they name
something like I will give you an
example BBC news point Fox News point
now BBC itself is a it has a website BBC
calm but there are like one ran that
this particular party is a rooted as
most corrupt in the world
this particular p.m. but these people
these websites have nothing to even when
I asked BBC they said that we didn’t do
this survey so these are very shady
there since they run on our traffic we
are like oh my god is true so we just
visit the we share it so they are end up
earning money then fake website Twitter
Facebook accounts there are hundreds of
Twitter handles like you should take a
name Amitabh Bachchan out somewhere
there Amitabh underscore Bachchan
Amitabh Bachchan underscore one Amitabh
Bachchan zero Amitabh may double e
double it and they use their photo and
they have their own particular agent
that they are working for some
particular party some particular
religion they praise someone whom they
believe in and they spend hatred using
fake photos and fake against other so
when we come across this plus since I
don’t know many of you who don’t know
about Peter they are not on Twitter but
you do get this screenshot on their on
your watch self which makes you feel oh
my god he really did say you don’t
actually check to the profile rather
what exactly that profile is doing so we
believe in so this is again how this
inception is working so we need to keep
on checking what is the right and
whether should we believe in not or not
the basic point is the very basic thing
is why are we falling for this this
platform affects most so now Facebook
Twitter then there are many WordPress
lot sports etcetera etcetera etcetera
but what is affecting our country most
right now is what sir why what sir
because since now the data cost is so so
very low people everybody almost
everybody our daily work even a daily
version daily mage worker you have a
whatsapp one is mobile they do they do
not know about Facebook or Twitter but
they have
so the this reaches to them and they
believe in it they don’t even they don’t
bother to check and everything and they
just keep on forwarding so but and they
do vote so they are possible victims
these are scam going on and what’s up
which I will tell you about see almost
like a visa once in a week or two we
receive something like this that you can
change your what’s up to from green
color to blue color by register by
activating here look at the link the
link has nothing to do with Watsa you
will get an error activate now what it
asks you is to register to register it
asks you for your name your address if
not address at least your mobile the
mobile is you must further geo
anniversary often means your sub go
there are exotic free internet now we
have already getting it sold oh I will
should we go for it but look the beauty
of this scam is look at the URL geo dot
mu and – here – offer dot in so most of
like my uncles and aunts and many people
who are not aware of URLs and domain
they would say I Sergio Adagio say yoga
and they would go and register but many
of people here understand that this is
not the Geo website it at all so now in
next when you click and register on it
what it will ask you for the it will ask
me for your name and number you will
give it up we have another email Rama
concept as a zero miracle time so we
fall for it what actually happens is the
guy who started the scam he just merely
it takes 99 rupees to book such domains
he just booked this domain he forwarded
it to his old server and you are giving
out your number to him he end up getting
and there is a the beauty of the scan
here you have to share it in a twat
subgroups that is the beauty of it once
you follow almost all whatsapp group at
least 20 to 25 people out of which five
to ten will fall for it so just imagine
within a day or two within 24 hours the
that guy will end up getting around 5 to
10 lakh mobile numbers in
database and the very next day he will
call up some some builder or someone if
you want to sell I have got
telemarketing data the real data since
we want to get this you obviously give
out our real mobile numbers so from the
next week you’ll start getting echo and
secure launch AAP aapke yeah chica
you’ll start getting these things so
this is a scam view you should look for
this well the first thing is these kind
of companies don’t do this on what set
second thing is just look at the URL if
it is geo comm it is workable or as it
is not it comes in the name of you can
get iPhone for free or read me for free
or amazin be a billion deals so but they
keep on changing the names and will say
but you can always check it out this was
like Medici is giving out pradhan mantri
laptop with run here is not 2007 online
registration
this was very viral this is very viral
but look at the PM use not calm if it is
official it should be dot got in if it
is official it should be dot govt dot in
okay so now how is this working how is
faking news spreading the swings and not
working at all first thing is common
sense now it’s already extinct I would
request government to subsidize it
exempt it from text so shouldn’t it so
the first thing is common sense you get
hold of it from anywhere by it in black
second is open mind open mind is the
like biggest weakness of we all are
living in a filter bubble right now so
this filter bubble is a mess
the we should keep our minds open and
believe in facts only something like a
code they look for evidences from all
sides they just who you we should not so
this this again is a very important
thing open mind last thing is the one of
the tool I uses image search Google has
a option images.google.com so it asks
you to whenever you receive something
like this some photoshop dorsum whatever
you can just upload that photo over
there and they’ll give you a huge line
of like results whether the photo where
it has appeared before valid post
before was it is it from some other
country or somewhere else so most of my
work my results I get from this somebody
sends me photo that this happened
yesterday and this I just saw upload it
and Google tell me that this was posted
on Facebook in 2014 again when it comes
to videos the cliffs really see what
happens is when somebody post uploads a
video on YouTube
by default YouTube takes its very first
frame as default thumbnail so it it
gives you an option which one you want
to be as a thumbnail but normally people
don’t they just upload it right away so
of most of the time when I receive a
clip I take the screenshot of the very
first frame and I reverse search it so I
get results and if I don’t get in first
time then I come across like the
important points in that particular
video so I’ll leave it to you you’re
thinking that how to keep yourself safe
from fake news the basic point I say
what’s up is a very beautiful
application but it’s meant for
communications sharing things songs
photographs etcetera but it’s not your
sue bacon newspaper we need to keep a
little look on these things it’s not a
rocket science fake news can always be
divin you just have to look at the
things closely so I’ll leave it to you
there thank you [Applause]
cells are like telling you that this is
such and this is dude kind of thing but
like I tried that two or three years ago
in fact the reason I did it was my
family members and my friends they used
to send few things which were quite
annoying they said that if you drink
this particular code link you’ll get
AIDS kind of stuff you all are aware of
so that was a mine I used to search on
net I used to come across some websites
which gave proper proof and I used to
share those link with my family members
and all but then I thought that nobody
is India in India is doing it so let’s
move forward it I started from like
Facebook I know I did it on from all
platforms I started so like what exactly
is fake news fake news you know the word
you know about it but it has different
type of deserve different type different
genres even misinformation disinfect
something could be totally fabricated
Photoshop or something but then there
are things which are like trimmed some
video is trimmed for to prove to
something to you so this fake news let’s
move forward with this okay so like we
all think that somehow technology has

costing so low but fake news is

the tool I uses image search Google has
a option images.google.com so it asks
you to whenever you receive something
like this some photoshop dorsum whatever
you can just upload that photo over
there and they’ll give you a huge line
of like results whether the photo where
it has appeared before valid post
before was it is it from some other
country or somewhere else so most of my
work my results I get from this somebody
sends me photo that this happened
yesterday and this I just saw upload it
and Google tell me that this was posted
on Facebook in 2014 again when it comes
to videos the cliffs really see what
happens is when somebody post uploads a
video on YouTube
by default YouTube takes its very first
frame as default thumbnail so it it
gives you an option which one you want
to be as a thumbnail but normally people
don’t they just upload it right away so
of most of the time when I receive a
clip I take the screenshot of the very
first frame and I reverse search it so I
get results and if I don’t get in first
time then I come across like the
important points in that particular
video so I’ll leave it to you you’re
thinking that how to keep yourself safe
from fake news the basic point I say
what’s up is a very beautiful
application but it’s meant for
communications sharing things songs
photographs etcetera but it’s not your
sue bacon newspaper we need to keep a
little look on these things it’s not a
rocket science fake news can always be
divin you just have to look at the
things closely so I’ll leave it to you
there thank you [Applause]
