ago I was attempting the life coaching
training and you were given an exercise
on emotional intelligence good set of
questions just orbit easier at that
there was that question can you say no
without feeling guilty well I gave
but I was really pissed off when I see
the instructions they said look at the
lowest scores and know that you have to
work on those areas we need to pay these
challenges so I went to the life coach
over the dinner and I told her would you
please coach me on that issue and at
that time I was able to unleash a
reality I cannot but say yes and I never
said I never I never felt guilt for any
of the yes decisions
my life honestly I wouldn’t be Who I am
today
if I said no if I go back myself to the
past years of my life and I want to
remember how porous the journey was and
where I am today I would find common

number of yeses I said in my life
and if I were to pick some of those
decisions that changed my life I would
choose to share with you today three of
my scores it was 2007 and I was 13 my
first master my first officer to be in
finance at the Lebanese University when
I heard about the program called
partnership for Lebanon that was
initiated by five big companies Cisco
and Microsoft Hawaii and us identity
products there was a call for fresh
graduates over Lebanon I applied for an
internship at Cisco for six-month
internship at Cisco being French
educated him in the middle of my master
degree and he really socially engaged my
community surrounded by friends and
family and living all my life with my
family it would been it would have been
much easier for me to even apply for
internship or in another term to say no
first opportunity it was actually
less challenging for me to say
get out say I’ll get out of your comfort
zone so I said yes
it wasn’t BS for a client or an
internship
it was the yes for charging myself it
it was December or January 2008 at that
time I was encouraged by one of my
friends to attend one of the meetings
contacted by an organization called JCI
jr. sugar international come up in a
series in Tripoli to call for volunteers
to support in making impact with the
local communities at that time I was
working in various committees and I was
commuting on the daily basis at and
forth from Tripoli to Beirut meeting at
6:00 p.m. to office arriving at a p.m.

it was kind of very difficult for me to
find a three time to give up my local
community other than weekend’s believe
her not because a need for me I want to
volunteer I want I want to be socially
useful so I said yes it wasn’t be asked
for joining anything it was a yes for me
practice it was a yes for giving back my
community had to commit once again but I
good strike years ago my beloved city

build last long-lasting relationships
and friendships I was able to unleash my

give back my local community I was
involved and engaged and tons of
activities and issues and I was elected
in 2009 as a leaving forever for the
Tripoli chapter we were able to show
organize to set up IT labs enterprise
schools we were able to organize a
national convention blaming Arabs from
the MENA region to attack addition to a
many many body and other shipments
besides the social experience I got
besides the skills I acquired every
relationships I built when I attended
the first evening I met my husband and
we’ve gone a church together for three
years and Jase I giving back to the
local community and we got married after
two years and we got to get a bird on
the way do you remember the community
center I was asked to lead of course you
remember the destruction the bullets and
a very sensitive timing as a patient
well it’s in that exact location and
that specific timing a community
development organization created a path
until present for 229 young men and
women giving them shoes
education and the future those held men
and women we were able to get a
university scholarship to pursue their
education and give back to our local
communities community service hours
supporting child development and
advancement programs and at the specific
location more than 2,000 children from
inquiry-based learning as well outreach
programs more than 500 women we were
able to be empowered through behavioral
change and were in discussions from
which 100 women were able to implement
empowered economy through community
mission we have set up in house in the
community center in addition to that
through the evening what Pena
organization in Lebanon I was able I
myself purpose I was able to unleash my
potential to discover my capacities my
abilities I was able to contribute to a
change I was able to impact lives around
me I was able to know that sky is not
even a limit I was able to learn by
doing lead by example and inspire with
as a result of my journey I’m standing

as a result of a challenging journey but
a very rewarding one I was accepted at
