surveillance and social media in this
presentation I’m gonna talk about fixed
artistic projects that are made in the
last two years the personnel project I
want to talk about is syndrome then the
project is about social media
Gendron exists out of ten photo frames
and each photo frames each photo frame
exists out of two profile pictures one
is from tinder and one is from LinkedIn
of the same person I placed them next to
each other and I didn’t ask for
permission the project went viral and I
ended up with many problems the second
project I want to talk about it
matchstick kissed and scratch it gets
about social media and it’s the lottery
ticket where you can win up to 25,000 to
take followers for your Instagram or
Twitter account so you pay one euro for
this pollute or e-ticket there’s also
tickets of hundred followers thousand
followers but also 25,000 state follows
there’s a lot of companies generating
fake accounts and they spell it to give
you an ID for Instagram thousand fake
spoilers you paste seventeen dollars and
you get the followers in like one minute
in exhibitions I spell them and this
kinda spending machines you pay one year
I get it loaded ticket you can also buy
the tickets online
another picture of the the planning
machine and the installation was on
display all across Europe
another installation is called
jaywalking it’s again an artistic
project that I made and it looked like
this
it exists out of three screens and three
red buttons and on each screen you see a
live the beylin camera pointed to a
crossroad so this surveillance camera is
I didn’t place it there it’s an
unprotected camera it doesn’t have
password
I made software to detect if people are
jaywalking so it checks if the the
traffic light is red and then it checks
if someone is crossing the road if the
system finds a jaywalker the visitor get
this question would you like to port the
deer walker by pressing the red button
the visitor can stand an email to the
closest police station nearby the
traffic camera and the email looks like
this hi somebody just jaywalked at and
then you have a address of the camera
bye
and in the attachment of the of the
email you have the jaywalker the next
step in this project is called
jaywalking frames it exists out of more
than 5,000 frames of people that are
jaywalking from all over the world with
my software you can buy into photo frame
and the pride of each auto frame is the
same as a fine in that country and you
can buy each photo frame once one of my
latest project is named as two valence
paparazi it looks like this it’s a box
it can recognize more than 200 thousands
the liberties and it checks cameras that
are unprotected again surveillance
cameras and holly wheels to climb to
liberties I just finished this
installation and it’s fine
most of the time it looka like so it
says like okay this is this the Liberty
and it’s for 65% chance
this guy but I really hope that it will
find a real celebrity so I can sell this
picture to finish this presentation I
want to talk about my most recent
project that I launched four weeks ago
it’s called die with me and die with me
is an app for your iPhone and your
Android phone phone and you can only use
this app if you have less than spices
and battery on your phone if you have
less than five percent battery in your
phone you can chat to other people
having less than five percent battery or
equal and you can see each other’s
percentage of battery and it yeah I had
a lot of fun with this project I made
this project actually also with the
davits
super now that’s a friend of mine I made
the project became an instant success
within a week we had more than a half
million people chatting in the chat room
no I mean chat messages in the chat room
so to end of this presentation why I’m
doing this I think I’m trying to show
the dangers of new technology in a
playful way and I think in this brave new world we all be marching
