music for dance for travel and so many
things to embrace people from all over

my family came from Puerto Rico but I
was born in New York City and being a

went to the California scene and I met

Leary Baba Ram Dass wavy gravy and it
was really really wonderful and amazing
to meet these people and be there right
there in the center of it in the summer
of love and the year after and the years
after in the Haight Ashbury scene and in
the village and you know back in the 60s
the youth was looking for something
deeper than the status quo and some
people mistakenly think that it was
drugs that got us all high but it was
just the catalyst

meditation music the arts and all these
things that helped us open up to love
and be the head has loved warriors and
helped change the world it’s still
cooking right now I mean I was right
there in the middle of it I remember I
don’t know how many Vietnam protests and
then more recently I made it to Occupy
Wall Street the activism inspired me to
be just recently a few months or six
months ago at Standing Rock with all of
our Native Americans and all the other
events that we’ve supported that I’ve
supported and have been so lucky and
blessed to be there love always brings
me to the right place at the right time
and it’ll bring you there too because
it’s brought you here right now and this
is pretty cool isn’t it yeah so yes

all those crazy events like Woodstock
Festival that I was at the first one
many burning men’s all the first ones
glastonbury fair the first one and so
many more and the Rainbow Gathering I
was at the rainbow gatherings the first
one and almost every single one since
then oh my gosh that’s a lot of time in
a lot of gatherings but you know at the
fires at night and you think the rainbow
gatherings are small but really in
America we have twenty to forty thousand
people show up and these gatherings are
spread all over the world and if you go
to one at night there’s campfires and
they’re singing my song
