became a part of German school culture
and it helped school students it helped
getting the mind of over 1 million
school students in one-hitter and it
helped him invade over 13th German or
not over 13 year camp functions now
we’re in Birmingham the Birmingham
campaign was led by the Southern
Christian Leadership Conference and
everyone was in the street parents miss
work school and all to make one
statement we are here and we met and
okay we’re Becky missus now a few months
ago young people took to the streets to
organize and mobilize against school
violence and actually we do the exact
same thing yesterday here at white
station yes we did over 500 students
came out onto our civic engagement
theater and a bunch of the other
activities so let’s face there’s one
thing in common with all of these movies
I basically briefed you on all of these
so fighters would actually met glad you
asked
they all have youth involvement at the
center and so when you think about it
every young person well every organizing
now started when they were young John
Lewis started organizing he was in
college its lunches Lamar my mentor and
the president of the 10cm Democrats
started when she was in high school and
Angela Wright has been protesting since
she was in diapers so to all the young
people here let me just say get involved
you can even run for a school office if
you put up all of us the lights thank
you okay our elections are next
so if you’re saying run for office oh if
you can vote vote registered to vote we
had a registration thing yesterday I
hope you’ve registered um and we’re
coming local campaigns we have three
elections coming up there’s one May 3rd
and then some other ones lives down the
line this year so make sure you get
involved in those and there’s at least
it’s one thing called diversity and
according to merriam-webster diversity
is the condition of or having or the
condition of having or being composed of
different different elements variety
especially the inclusion of different
types of people and all of this ensures
that groups are inclusive and when
important work with when important
decisions are made such as government
decisions of school organizational
decisions that the decision is inclusive
and keeps different groups in mind and
what are you doing to make the spaces
around you more in close inclusive are
you supporting equitable legislation
when it comes up in the tinsy
legislation are you saying something
when you see something and are you
encouraging and supporting minority
businesses if not there’s a huge way you
can do that actually right now this top

minority base it’s hot pink boutique and
we’re making the spacing around two very
inclusive and keeping in mind that the
decisions that we make now especially as
young people they can follow us and
build upon them so if you make decisions
now or you get involved in your school
