who here was born with a physical
disability or know somebody that was
born with a physical disability please
raise your hands thank you who here was
bullied at school or knows somebody that
was bullied at school please raise your
hands thank you
now I’m gonna ask everybody to stand up
if you could all just stand up thank you
now we need to take your right hand and
place it into your chest thank you now
I’m gonna ask you to bring your right
foot and bring it in words thank you now
I haven’t asked you to do this because I
want you to feel silly I’m doing this
because I was born with damage to my
brain at birth which controls the right
side of my body so I didn’t know I had a
right arm and leg you can sit down now
if it’s okay with you I’m gonna share my
journey about how I overcame my
disability and also how I overcame the
emotional trauma that was attached with
being a different child is that okay
thank you the doctors told my parents
that I wouldn’t they wouldn’t have a
normal child and to prepare for life
with a disabled child they said that I
wouldn’t be able to ride a bike that I
wouldn’t be able to do things that
normal children do well I can tell you
that I ski on black slopes I have a
scuba diving license and for sure I can
ride a bike so I think the doctors were
wrong my parents never told me that I
was different thanks mom and it wasn’t
until I started to go to school did I
start to realize that I was different
did I start to get
comments like why is your hand like that
why are you walking funny and I was like
I don’t know there was different
comments growing up and there was times
where I was looked at called names there
was a time where I was with the small
group of friends that I had at school
and they started to pick on me and push
me around I remember falling over and my
shoe coming off and I’m so angry I
remember I’m taking my shoe and trying
to hit them with my shoe and as they’re
running away they’re faster than me some
chasing them and then I’m spitting at
them humiliating experience and I
remember going home sitting on my
bathroom floor and crying and thinking I
have no friends and I don’t want to go
back to school I had an operation on my
right foot to straighten my foot out
when I went to take my cast off I went
to the doctor’s in London and he took my
cast off the moment that he took my cast
off I started crying and shouting I’m so
angry my leg is now half the size of my
left leg and I’m terrified what they’re
gonna think of me at school and the
doctors like I don’t understand
normally people are happy when they take
the cast off but for me I was too
concerned with what other people were
going to think of me I had a plastic
brace on my foot and you know I felt
like Forrest Gump I would be looked at
in some kind of way in the way that
somebody’s looking at me all of my
childhood and it got to me because I
didn’t want to be that child why me the
turning point came when I was introduced
to NLP considered the technology of
achievement I was like okay I can
conceptualize achieving goals I’m gonna
show these guys I’m gonna achieve the
best life that I can what is that I want
to travel around the world
I want to have sexy beautiful girls and
I want to create a business that allows
me to do all these things so I did all
of these things and then I came home and
something was missing I was having
conversations with people and I was
feeling triggered these emotions were
coming up
I wasn’t feeling comfortable in my own
skin and I didn’t know why it wasn’t
until I stopped looking externally and
started looking internally did I realize
that actually there’s a happy fun
creative guy that wants to make a
difference that wants to bring people
together the wants to have a positive
impact in this world it wasn’t until I
came home and started connecting with
myself did I really realize that
actually what I was doing was for
validation I was chasing girls for
validation I built an entire identity on
validation my message today and also my
passion as an embodiment coach is to
share the importance of connecting with
your body of coming home emotion is
energy in motion we experience emotions
that growing up and these emotions get
caught in our body our body is an
unconscious or unconscious mind and
unless we process these emotions from
our past the pain the anger the
humiliation unless these emotions finish
their process and have a voice they
manifest themselves in different ways
from illnesses to addictions to anger
problems when I started to come home and
connect with my body and release the
emotions I started to make more money I
started to have better friends I started
to do
things that I want to do in my life
there’s something else I want to share
with you I’m also a beatboxer I was
inspired by my sister’s boyfriend when I
was 15 and I thought he was amazing
and I copied him for you you come back
home come come come home
thank you thank you so I want to leave
you I want to leave you with a message
where in your body do you have impressed
emotions from your past
because we all do thank you
you
