The Perfectionist Trap

We usually aim at a particular career
To dazzle us with the most professional championships in them
We build our ambitions on the basis of our admiration for the architect’s magnificent buildings, which are also designed to design the new city airport
Or follow up the huge business dealings of the Wall Street fund manager
Or by reading critical analyzes of a literary novel
Or samples of cuisines at a successful chef’s restaurant.
To formulate our professional plans on the basis of idealism.
Thus, by following those professionals, we take our first step and then the difficulties begin
So what we want to design or what we do in the first month of trade
Or what we write in our first short story
Or what we call the family, clearly and absurdly, below the standards that ignited the primacy of our ambitions in the first place,
We are aware of what excellence means; we end up keeping things low
Which happens to be the level of ourselves.
We attach in an alarming paradox.
Our aspirations have been ignited by remarkable successes, while all we know about ourselves
Indicates that we are inherently incompetent.
Let us fall in what we might call the trap of idealism
Where it is known as a strong affinity to idealism
Deprives us of maturity and sufficient understanding of what it takes to achieve the idealism itself.
This attraction is not our fault in the first place.
Without any means to show these aspects, or even to know them, the media have erased billions of undifferentiated periods
And years of failure, rejection and frustration for those successful
To provide a range of daily selections from the peak of their professional success
Ultimately believing that these successes are not exceptional
But are fundamental and natural achievements.
It seems to us that all people are successful, because everyone we heard about them was really like that.
And we envisioned how they were inevitably drowned in a sea of tears and despair
We look at it in an unbalanced way
Because we know in our own hearts our conflicts of knowledge
But it seems to others then success stories do not suffer.
We can not forgive ourselves for our horrendous first drafts
Because we did not see the initial drafts of those we follow.
We need to rationally visualize your difficulties hiding behind everything
We would like to own it
For example, instead of looking closely at the museum’s artifacts,
To go to the studio where I made, to see all those shattered and destroyed primary models,
We see the effects of tears on paper where the artist collapsed and wept
We must focus on designs made by the architect before he reaches a decent design (perhaps 50 designs or more)
We need to explore the early stories of the currently successful author
We look closely at the number of projects where the entrepreneur has failed and suffered losses.
We need to note the legitimacy and necessity of the role of failure.
We allow ourselves to do things in a less perfect way for a very long time,
We count it as a price we can not avoid paying for a chance one day, perhaps in several decades
Let’s do something that others see as a natural success.
