LITERATURE – Charles Dickens

“Charles Dickens
“Charles Dickens was the most famous English book of the 19th century, the bestseller of all time
You can see from afar plush coats, a fishtail-shaped beard, and necktie, but he has a lot to tell us today
This is because he has a distinctive ambition
He believes that writing can play a big role in solving the world’s problems
Not only did Dickens write, from the beginning he showed the connotations of a brilliant actor; he loved playing plays in the family kitchen, singing at a table in a popular bar
Before we could hear about the radio or the television, Dickens was making special performances.
Despite the fear of his literary friends, entertainment was at the core of what Dickens was doing
He always sought to make us care about some very important things: the evils of the industrial society, and the conditions of working in factories
Child labor, social bullying, and the irrational incompetence of the government bureaucracy
In theory, these problems and their modern forms are worthy of attention
But if we are honest with ourselves, to admit that they do not seem attractive to read about in a novel, in bed, or at the airport
Dickens’ genius was to discover that great ambitions to educate society about its problems should not contradict what critics call fun
Such as strong nets, stylistic style, acrobatics, moving moments, and happy endings
Reject the idea that we must make a fateful choice between being valuable but boring, and being famous but superficial
Dickens began to educate by way of entertainment because he was well aware of how easy it was for us individually and collectively to resist some difficult and important lessons
Dickens is distinguished because he worked in his time on how to make something harsh for our time and how to become deceptive in important things
Charles Dickens was born in Portsmouth in February 1812. His father was an employee of the Navy Office, and they had to move constantly to follow his various dates
It was an elegant life at first but it always showed financial problems
When Dickens was 10 years old, he had to leave school because his parents could no longer afford the least expenses
He was sent to work in shoe polish in London where they made a polish that gave a black luster7, which was popular on metal surfaces. It was a rigorous experience
Dickens hated the small exhaust, and the high speed he had to carry out with it repetitive tasks
The people he worked with were pessimistic and bullying
His father was then arrested for his debts. At that time, the creditor could imprison the debtors with their families until they started to fill their money.
So the entire family moved to the filthy Marshali prison, except for the little Dickens, who lived near them and continued his hideous job
Part of Dickinson’s constant admiration is his strong sense of life and his deep compassion for his victims
When Dickens’ life improved in his early twenties, he discovered that he was a brilliant journalist
Dickens was good at remembering his suffering, and used it in a very smart way;
He always put very nice characters in terrible places in the Victorian era in England
David Copperfield describes the shoe polishing factory through David’s little look, which was sensitive, intelligent, and
David is the little reader or son of the reader or nephew.
Dickens says: Imagine someone like you or someone you like in a place like this.
When Dickens writes about the poor houses that were the places of work of local forces for those unable to support themselves
Dickens sends Oliver Toussit, who belongs to a wealthy family, away from a series of tragic events
Oliver is not like those who ended up in poor homes
But there to make his readers – they were rich at the time – think: What if this I?
When Dickens spoke about the plight of the debt prison, he was accompanied by a beloved Belizho
He is a role model and is known as Mr. McPaul
The previous precautionary assumption may end here with mysterious perforated species
Dickens worked on a basic assumption, and of course everyone knew of him poor houses, poor working conditions, and imprisoning urbanists
These were the clear facts of life in England in the 19th century
The witness is that those kinds of people are capable of making a difference
They did not feel a lot of urgency and did not feel personal contact with the problems
Dickens used his experience to accuse people of hurting others who are usually emotionally distant from them
He did not say to them, Look how ugly this is, but he said, “This is what you may be.”
In the ideal world perhaps we care about almost everyone
But in fact, we are going directly to be more interested in the friendly, poor
So if you like Dickens aim to draw attention to a problem in the system, following the way Dickens worked would be a very good defense strategy
It is that we tend to those who go through tribulations and then we just start to feel connected to them
What Dickens also did to keep us abreast of his lofty vision of social reform was that he was keen to show his understanding of the comfortable and comfortable things
He never wanted the underlying causes to appear as a reason for not being able to admire all the pleasures of life
Dickens was very clever in evoking the pleasures of the house
In one of his novels, he takes us on a tour to the house of an old and lovable old man who has redesigned an urban house into a small castle
Finish it with a bridge that can be lifted with a sturdy rope to keep the troubled world away
Dickens loved the cellular walks, playing cricket in the park, shopping to buy a new necktie
Sit down next to the fireplace, gather friends for dinner together, warm blankets, and go on holiday
Dickens says being a loving and kind person does not mean accepting a small normal pleasure
This is a key element of Dickens’ general strategy. He knows that it is difficult to make people think about difficult things
If you do not start with a deep definition of what we really like, it will give you a cold and a little bit of authoritarianism
Dickens takes the side of the actual writing seriously; he was a tremendously productive person; he produced many books
He was very interested in sales forms of literary property law, and profit margins
But Dickens did not want to sell many novels, but wanted to change things in the world but he knew very well that a book would only affect if it was widespread
Or if the trade side is in good condition. His writings draw attention to the things that are going wrong
Such as the law of the poor, the situation in schools, widespread favoritism and harsh working conditions
But he was not trying to align himself with a certain pattern of reform, but wanted to clarify what the government should do to improve working conditions in factories
Or how the legal system would look better, he did not have an effective alternative policy carefully to deliver it
What he was doing was shaping a climate of sentiment and opinion, making it easier for people seeking a place in Parliament, raising support, or making local improvements
While others may be more willing to see the significance of political action by simply taking advantage of the mental program and feeling emotionally close to us
Dickens was very interested in helping the world and was very sympathetic to the suffering of others
But as far as his home was concerned, things were not going well; he was not a good husband and father.
He married in 1837 in his mid-20s from Katharine Hogarth, and had ten children, eight of whom lived to adulthood
But Dickens saw her as dull and negative. When he arrived in the mid-1940s, he fell in love with a 19-year-old actress named Ellen Ternan
He could not get a divorce because it was something flawed for a famous figure to do it
So they separated and left his wife after a marriage of twenty years and did not see each other again.
Dickens did not care for any of his children who considered them lazy and were ready to bankrupt him
They were eager to drink and gamble a lot. Dickens is a painful alarm clock that reminds us of the gruesome conflict between different types of land
Dickens was persistent in his work; he would stay late if necessary, and work was the first thing he thought of in the morning, and exhausted himself.
Among his children and his wife he was a normal person, a conspirator, and a disdain for them.
We can blame him and say that he had to be a partner and a better father,
Or we can feel pity for the poor boundaries of our nature that hinder us from becoming good in two different areas at the same time
Hoping that a little of this compassion will move to ourselves as we now need it
Dickens died on June 18, 1817, when he was 58 years old at home after a busy working day
He was in the early stages of writing his 15th novel, and the newspaper Garriden published the following day:
“Wherever English is used, we will be greeted with the regrettable paragraph that we are publishing this morning, one of the works of the deceased Mr. Charles Dickens.
Early last night we got to know that Alfred’s novelist was paralyzed at his home in Geodesy Hill. “
Dickens’ power is not limited to the specific things he has just written, but the most amazing is the greatest idea he has been faithful to all his life
The task of writing and art in general is to attract good and make it easier and more durable for us to learn uncomfortable lessons and to expand our circle of sympathy
By helping us identify people whose virtual lives seem to change our lives but their inner lives are not very different
