Freud on: Sublimation

Some of our primitive desires are inherent in the subconscious
Threatening to be completely malicious
We may want to do nothing
Looting, harming others
To give way to despair
Or to engage in sex in forbidden and destructive ways
Yet most of us rarely do these acts
In fact, we usually release our energies into worthwhile projects
We continue to try to be helpful and helpful to those around us
Being able to do so is the foundation of psychoanalysis
Sigmund Freud
Who gave a special name to the ability to use our primitive energies selfishly and destructive in a useful way
This process was called “promotion”
This idea occurred to Freud as he read a book known and attractive trips
“Harz Tours”
Author by nineteenth century poet Heinrich Heine
Heine said in his book meeting with a great German named “Johann Friedrich Devenbach”
Which was very selfish and emotional when he was a boy
He loves to cut the tails of stray dogs in a perverse sense of pleasure
But later as an adult, he matured into an expert, unselfish, and skilled surgeon
Which has led to pioneering discoveries in the field of restoration and cosmetic operations
Freud felt that this development of someone who used the knife sadistically in the victimization
To a person who uses it nobly in reform
It can not just be a coincidence
And thought “what if this act belongs to a widespread pattern of behavior
Where a malicious and malicious innate drive rises to the contrary
Where the amount of negative energy determines the positive energy
Freud felt that this desire to compensate
Lies in the hearts of many great performers in the arts, politics and sciences
So a great investigator may be at one level of unconsciousness
To defend himself against some of his illegitimate desires
And the politician concerned with the plight of the poor
A primitive drive may have stepped up from the worsening greed
In an article on Leonardo da Vinci
Freud claimed that Davinci was a very active child
Who has elevated his sexual activity to scientific research and art
In the words of Freud
A forbidden desire for sexual pleasure in this case the direction of his mother
And later other children
Has been transformed in Davinci in a very honorable and powerful manner
General desire for knowledge
The theory of ascension is very promising
Because there is much that we want is impossible
While there are many reasons for anger and nihilism
Frod noted our ability to find compensation and replacement
