Wasp vs. Spider | National Geographic

well we might normally think of a spider
as predator and insect his prey and no
one seems to have told this bug the
rooms this pawel it was– seems
absolutely fearless as she walks right
into the den of a venomous baboon spider
during the day the baboon spider
protects herself by spinning a thick
wall of silk is this gonna stop the wasp
ah nope she quickly penetrates the silk
shield and then goes to work on the
spider the spider tries to flee but the
wasp administers a paralyzing sting the
wasp then injects more toxin until her
victim is in a permanent coma
now the wasp digs a burrow and then
drags the warm spider snack into the
hole not for her but for her baby to
beat the wasp lays a single egg onto the
spiders abdomen when this egg hatches
it’ll have plenty of soft spider to
munch on for a week it’ll then cocoon
itself for a year when it finally
emerges it’ll be a full-grown baboon
spider hunter just like mom
