at an exciting day
left-left top of the world and being
chased by the Mountaineers for a while
we ended up rappelling down it was about
a hundred and fifty hundred sixty foot
rappel biggest one I’ve ever done pretty
exciting I mean everyone made it down
safely and we had to do some rock
scramble after that but we managed to
find a good flat spot for a camp tonight
and I got a fire going
getting some beans and rice in us
finally and hopefully get a good start
in the morning and keep up the good pace
we built a nice low ice shelter last
night that kept us kept us cozy I was a
little bit cold but survived the evening
and then actually we got up and we we
dropped camp and end up trudging along
the ridgeline for quite some time before
we came to a into a kind of a stop we
couldn’t go anywhere except down and you
think I would like Heights which I do
but I’m oh so scared of heights
that’s one of the reasons why I actually
started mountaineering was because I was
scared of heights and I wanted to face
my fear to the best of my abilities and
so we had faced a rock wall with a
rappel all over 200 feet it was straight
down but we all got through it safely
which was good and I know it saved us a
lot of time which is always key and then
after that we had to hit through some
some rough very rough scree fields and
made it into camp the Seavey and
hopefully there is water in the
background which is nice and there’s
also some of the
big rocks for shelter so I’m hoping that
that will provide shelter enough that we
can get us through to the next day to
extraction point but you never know what
type of obstacles are gonna come across
I mean this is Alaska and I’m as usual
getting my butt handed to me but that’s
where you learn that’s where you grow as
a person
anything you do so well my goal here is
again to to help my team as much as
possible to do everything I possibly can
to win these things and and to learn
from these experiences take it home and
and help others learn and grow as people
because that’s why we’re here we’re all
in here together
see ya have a good night
