Tiger Cubs Pass Swim Test | National Geographic

today we did what’s called a swim test
for our two Sumatran tiger cubs we want
to make sure that when the Cubs go
outside in the yard with their mother
that if they were to fall in the moat
that they know how to swim over to the
edge and climb out on their own and
that’s exactly what they did today the
boy went in first and he swam around for
a little while and then he was able to
pull himself out of the water he even
ran over into the bushes a little bit so
he definitely passed with flying colors
and the female is next she didn’t swim
around very much but she immediately
climbed out of the water they do have
the little water tub inside to practice
it’s not that deep but Tigers are
natural swimmers so we really weren’t
thinking that they were not going to
pass this test
she is icier water the boy seems to be a
little more laid-back than the female
which is kind of just like the parents
