Thorn | Live Free or Die

I’m thorne I live in the forest I’m a
rewilding I’ve been accused of being
like of being born 14,000 years too late
lived in the Blue Ridge almost two years
I’ve been at this particular place for
six months
I built the hut in two or three days and
then I just started piling leaves on it
putting the sticks over and this is
basically my insulation this lifestyle
that embarked on been happening since I
was five I grew up on a ranch
my dad had cowboyed for years so I kind
of just ran wild I get asked a lot about
my tattoo I think I could hear my mom’s
heart breaking from the tattoo parlor
it’s a tracking tattoo so I had this
horizon line across the bridge of my
nose and the darts pointing down
grounding me bringing it back to there
when I lived in the city I was a
schoolteacher it was wonderful of it
being on someone else’s terms was really
difficult and I just wanted to drop out
of it it’s forest just gave me this
unique opportunity to get away from that
and to actually live free this is that
lat squirrel that I’ve got it’s still
pretty fresh I’ve eaten some pretty
sketchy stuff when I needed it I don’t
know when the next time that I’m gonna
get me is going to be I don’t feel like
I’m living in poverty I feel like I’m
wealthy like I’m rich and you can’t beat
that view
surviving is not dying I would love to
do more than I just want to be out here
enjoying myself I want to be free
