essentially what I deal with is anything
that’s atmospheric or mechanical or
pyrotechnic fuselage fills with smoke
and fire catches in the galley here so
they’ll be pyrotechnics parts occurring
maybe a little bit of flame plenty of
smoke for the second part of the
sequence where the plane in back to the
water there’s a shot of the back here
where the stewardesses in her job see
and there’s a lot of vibration as it
gets the water and as part of that
sequence we’ve got a rigged a trolley
that will break loose fly out and
vibrate so basically it’ll come flying
out here and we’ve rigged it internally
with a vibrant pack and a pneumatic
piston to push it away from the wall so
to launch itself out it’s pretty cramped
back here and I can imagine that with
the director cameraman and everybody
else are we being this tiny little hole
down here to the fire if there’s a
sequence during the film where the plane
obviously crash lands and as it impacts
the water the pole plane goes through a
bit shake there’s a massive disruption
everything starts breaking loose
everybody get shuttled around and as
part of that will be some throwing
baggage around so in order to make it
look a bit more dramatic I’ve been pre
rigging these overhead baggage
compartments so that the they’ll spring
open by themselves and project the
baggage out so there’s bigger it’s all
fairly sort of small stuff but it’s
pretty time-consuming because it’s so
fitting it’s a real aircraft so we’re
having to re rework it where is the
normal
open quite slowly we’ve had to redo them
they open a lot faster and we’ve got
little air mortars in there to blow out
this lightweight baggage hatch pops open
the bag comes out it doesn’t hit anybody
too hard so yeah that work
