Prime “Tenthouse” Suite at 20,000 Feet—No Elevator | National Geographic

day 11 high-camp penthouse suite
apartment in the sky $35,000 a month and
some climbing skills you could get this
penthouse suite as well but you gotta
want it you kind of gotta want it though
if you don’t want it it’s worth nothing
it’s penance this could be hell for most
people but for us yeah living it up you
can either bring oxygen or acclimate
slowly to 20,000 feet but otherwise it’s
a pretty comfortable place we’ve got 24
square feet living living area here
doesn’t seem like a lot but it also
doubles as the sleeping quarters so
think of like small home of this type of
design windproof waterproof a kind of a
yurt design circular but half circle
actually hurt maybe
got a kitchen over here we’ve got our
home entertainment system here powered
by solar try to be environmentally
conscious a lot of storage up high get
everything out of the way clip it up
high people really like that we’ve got a
water supply bathroom revelation and
then um bathroom here’s Phil Phil the
bottle
our fourth member in the team also the
bathroom doesn’t take up very much space
if you think about a remodel and your
space is a concern he seems pretty handy
if you’re interested in this place you
know I’ll be honest I’ll tell you
everything that comes with it does take
probably about ten days of hauling and a
little bit of a four at 20,000 feet some
sketchy ice climbing and exclaiming good
oh yeah I’m down below that’s right
no elevator service sorry but where do
you get a view like that
