what’s up guys we are for the next 36
hours that’s right yes
welcome to the sleep lab so the sleep
lab was fascinating we had three
volunteers who allowed us to sleep
deprived them essentially and keep them
up for upwards of what like over 36
hours I think it was and then we were
measuring how the lack of sleep affected
their performance in a series of games
or little assignments that we were
giving them it was fascinating to watch
how it sometimes the fatigue actually
made them do better because they were
trying to compensate for the fatigue so
we would actually focus more on the
tasks at hand but eventually we hit a
point where the tee was just too much
and there was nothing they can do to
compensate for that fatigue it was all
so fascinating to see them just how
emotionally they responded to being so
tired you know everybody kind of reacts
differently they’re not getting enough
sleep the woman particularly just
knocked it out of the park she was like
I’m fine everything’s great if she
didn’t sing strung out at all the two
guys there was one guy was a little more
gentle and he just looked like he was
like passing out with his eyes open and
then the bigger guy the tough guy I
think he was a plumber or something he
actually really shocked and just
the experience humbled him he said that
he wanted to actually leave and go home
but it was always sticking through it
because he liked the crew imagine that
this was an exercise of an experimental
demonstration just how important sleep
is and so we recommend you get enough
