the top of the New England’s year people
have been following us everywhere we’ve
been going I want to get out here
without anybody seeing where we’re going
or what we’re doing oh yeah it’s the
sneaky sink there’s no doubt about it
get ready here comes captain dave has to
keep his fishing spots a secret why his
boat hauls in the most tuna out of any
boat in the fleet
get out of here under the cover of
darkness we lit out there one of us
sometimes two of us sometimes three of
us always in the back of that boat
perfect non-stop captain dave is
obsessed with three things fishing tuna
fishing we got a fish taking off and
dave taught himself how to catch tuna as
a young kid and he’s been wrestling
giants ever since my first bluefin I was
14 maybe 15 at the time it was over a
thousand pounds when that rod lapped
over I was hooked from that moment on
but captain Dave needs to do more than
just fish he’s got to be the best tuna
fisherman in Massachusetts we’re on
again everybody’s giving me but I want
the biggest one in the fleet this year I
want to be on top and to stay on top
he’ll do just about anything I have a
sneaking suspicion they may have messed
up the numbers and sent to the wrong
place if maybe I did or it isn’t given
the most accurate information but it’s
part of the business since we got the
fish everybody wants to know where
you’re at what you caught it on and they
want to come to the same spot today they
can anchor all around us
as tricky Dave about his fishing secrets
and he’s got one answer for you what
happens on this boat stayed on it and
that’s the bottom line
okay much hi babies are this business
it’s pathetic what actually goes on if
everybody would just shut up and fish it
doesn’t win him friends Dave does this
all the time he sends you all kinds of
misinformation so you stay away from
right there he’s lying Dave to go
yourself he has something to say he can
come to the dock and say for my face
later but it does make him and his crew
loads of dope yeah big I know there’s a
lot more money swimming on the boat
right now that we’re gonna catch one
fish today easily bring in $7,000 if I
had some fuel right now and fish for
bite I’d be going right back out I can’t
imagine doing anything else fight it and
fish I don’t know what I do it’s a great
experience and that’s why I do it and
that’s why I’m gonna continue to do it
