Making the Impossible Possible | Brain Games

meet illusionist max Darwin to me magic
is a balancing act between what you know
and what you see today I’m gonna see
just how trusting people really are the
funny thing is the more they trust in me
the less you’ll trust your own eyes
pay attention max is going to try to
convince you that the laws of physics
don’t apply to him hi I’m max you are
and I am an AIA very nice to me what
you’re about to see is real there are no
camera tricks or special effects so what
I want you to do lie on the table put
your feet down here and your head down
here and Marcia would you just cradle
her neck so that you’re holding the
weight let the weight of your head rest
in her hands like that
now Anaya I’m gonna have somebody hold
your feet here sir would you come help
me hi what is your name Jim Jim I max
very nice to meet you Jim what I’d like
you to do is stand right here in a
moment you’re gonna grab the end of the
table okay first ania we’re just going
to wrap watch max closely yes because
he’s going to put your trust to the test
and and I’d like you to take a nice big
deep breath Jim would you please grab
the board right there perfect one two
three Jim’s support the board right here
I’m gonna take this Anaya has put her
trust in max now are you going to put
your trust in what you see or what you
know one two three
[Music]
pretty crazy right it looks like this
child is levitating in midair and if
you’re like the majority of our audience
your brain can’t figure out what’s going
on that’s perfect Anaya you’re doing
perfect
Marcia come back and put her head in
your hands
Jim grab this board under her feet the
chair goes back underneath just like
this you can let go Jim Marcia you can
let go Anaya
you can sit up how do you feel great
stand up
wave to all the people and they’ll give
you crazy applause see even the
impossible is possible you just got to
know who to trust
