Kidnapped in the Dark | National Geographic

I’m hoping for a good night’s sleep so I
could be fresh for the lost city but
that wasn’t how it turned out it was
around 3:30 or 4:00 a guy standing there
with a gun
what’s happening yeah he come from
he poked me with the gun yeah so I could
feel the barrel that was frightened what
the hell is going on here machete came
towards me I was absolutely terrified
I said pack your stuff
I thought that if it’s the armed and
it’ll need to be afraid the Army is not
doing too perky it helped they led us to
this clearing in the middle of the
jungle
we’re going back to Santa Marta start
walking
couple of hours later Matt came up to me
and said look at them one of the guards
is wearing jeans he can’t be a real
soldier they’re not army since we
probably been kidnapped I thought he’s a
kid well what does he know
if kidnappings are common in Colombia
who would have heard of it probably I’ve
been here for a week I don’t think so
and I said let’s just see what happened
we were walking along with this
Ridgeline Matt came up to me and he said
is this the look right to me I want to
get out I’m gonna jump off the side of
the hill and do you want to come
I said this is not movie this is real
life you don’t jump off somewhere and
don’t get hurt I just did I’m not going
to jump
matt said listen errors I’m gonna jump
off the hill if you want to come with me
didn’t come that’s it but you’re gonna
get yourself killed he said are you
coming or not
and I said well no and you just ran
matalas gun
