I absolutely think it’s plausible that
humans have evolved inability to use
language in order to deceive one another
in terms of natural selection it has
been selected for because of proved to
be evolutionarily advantageous to know
when to lie and our purpose is to
reproduce survival of the fittest
adaptation by any means necessary in
order to persist and survive and there
are times when adaptation requires us to
deceive just to persist there’s an
octopus that like you blend and become
the same pattern and color of anything
that it stands next to imagine leave the
ability to deceive to blend into the
environment to lie to pretend to be part
of the environment so that it doesn’t
get attacked or eaten by a predator the
whole evolution of the idea of courtship
in order to reproduce well what do you
think courtship is it’s like you’re my
dream you’re everything you’re my
destiny I love you more than anyone
you’re the most beautiful woman I’ve
ever seen well perhaps that’s a white
lie but that’s our purpose right in
order to reproduce in certain contexts
not being completely truthful is the
right thing that if we are pressed to
partake in white lies for a greater good
