Jason Silva on Illusion Confusion | Brain Games

a lot of other things you take for
granted are just illusions some people
say even sentience consciousness is an
illusion there’s a reason that magic has
such appeal to this day it’s a very
instant way of making a question
everything you thought you knew is
reality and illusion is reality of
simulation is there a deeper reality we
long for there to be a hidden door long
for there to be something more and I
think illusions played that human
curiosity if the world as we see it
right now is just a construct a
rendering of our brains or sexual
apparatus low resolution to the images
are coming in processed by our eyes and
to rich 3d images we already construct
our reality and that’s the case then why
not add more elements and more layers to
with augmented reality in google glass
we’re going to be able to overlay the
digital world cup of the physical way in
the virtual world everybody could have
anything
people say oh virtual reality and I say
no it’s not about virtual reality
there’s nothing virtual about these
alternate realities you know what they
are they’re real virtuality
