a Hutterites dress we we wear black
pants homemade pants there where jeans –
black jeans we wear a shirt and
suspenders we don’t wear belts because
the homemade pants don’t have loops I’m
sure mom could sew loops in it but it’s
a pain in the butt so we just wear
suspenders some some kids wear belts you
know I like to work with my hands I like
to design things and I take pride in my
designing and my work and my crafts that
I do I’m a very particular person it has
to be perfect
well with the newer generation they
don’t seem to need to spend your summer
clothes on their friends with a voice or
Amanda voice and then they want to go
and they want to wear bout pens not who
made things and then you tell them about
that and that’s the way the right way
life is the tradition is to make them
and wear the pants that that our colony
buys the material provides I love to sew
sewing is a therapy thing for me and I
usually try and use button patterns I’ll
do like right now I’m working on some
jeans for a nice son Wesley
so I buy a pattern right out see how it
fits see how he likes it and then I’ll
probably make four or five pairs of him
the women wear dresses and a shawl now
the show does in the Bible it does say
that a woman is supposed to have their
head covered so they wear the shawl and
with the black pants it also says that
coming out of the Bible that your
everybody is supposed to dress alike
for the most part with black pants and
everything I just made her prevail in
dresses and I have to sew them up when I
do have an apron a jacket and skirt and
I have to measure each of fleets and
what wants it so when I teach her how to
how to iron the pleats at this day in
the dress and it’s really funny for
costume it’s hard for her to cut your
own buffed up she loves to wear it this
way with leads in it so perfect like she
thinks she is and she’s so cute when the
newer generation wants to go more like
the blue-jean lok and out whatever else
not and the girls seem to want that too
with a makeup and that stuff and then
you have them to remind them that it
goes with the outside work they don’t
belong with a color
that’s where you have to Skype in X a
home that don’t work
