Hunting Grouse | The Legend of Mick Dodge

in the wilderness of Washington State
Mick Dodge has enlisted expert Archer
norm to hunt a grouse for their autumn
harvest feast and within minutes Mick
spots something you hear something
more empty road my adrenaline going with
time running out and still no bird in
the bag norm implements a new strategy
I’ll go up stop for a couple seconds and
just stand there let you pass me you go
away above me where I can see you stop
and I’ll come up okay you take the lead
moving one at a time
norms goal is to minimize noise and
remain undetected to their potential
target the strategy here’s the less
presence less footsteps least amount of
noise so we stagger each other
norm stalks with his bow at the ready
equipped with a specialized arrow for
hunting fowl yeah these will knock him
dead instantly
one that kills the prey with blunt force
without penetrating and shredding the
meat very fast and quiet hear that
nope
nevermind got my hopes up over the next
few hours they move methodically across
the forest floor and scouting the area
for any sign of their bird
we’ll see if all this works and then
finally
what is there
yeah look it it looks like norms arrow
hit the mark so MIT rushes in to
investigate norm right here right here
good man
good job Nick yeah it’s good eatin
push you’re good dog yeah I come from a
family of retrievers
