with the helicopters they have a lot of
survival equipment with it but with Esau
I don’t like to get stuck but survival
equipment isn’t always enough Alaska has
more Avalanche fatalities per capita
than any other state and 25% of the
victims are backcountry skiers I mean
all this stuff is really you know not
normal mountain flying this is pushing
the pilot to their limit

yeah EER is paying thousands of dollars
a day to have Dustin take them to the
ultimate ski spots but if he can’t find
a place to land his a-star 350 there’ll
be no filming further wanted our night

good to be out the fresh air mountains
we’re not just regular heli skiers this
is the the motherland of our sport this
is the North Shore of skiing and
snowboarding and this is where we all
come to get the dream we’re staying in
the only Blue Hole out here right now
we’ve just been kind of following it
around at this point that dark cloud and
to our south there is also another dark
cloud so that sucks and we’ve got to be
able to get up and out of here before
they can ski canta must make sure an
avalanche won’t kill them we’ve had some
wind and some other meteorological
cycles that you know could lead to
potential avalanche danger so got one
layer down here and it’s a layer of
concern so I really want to study that
because it’s actually pretty deep and
you take this time is it by kazillion
across the slope and that’s a lot of
snow coming down if you don’t make the
right call sooner or later the mountains
will they’ll show you who’s boss he
finds the slopes safe to ride and the
team of photographers and skiers take
their positions riding
everybody right 90%
