I can hear a call over here so I’m kind
of pushing blowing kind of an intriguing
sound and that’s downwind from us so
it’s a big sound to come against the
wind
mating tortoises how lucky is that yes
fantastic though they’ve stopped mating
now and I’m not sure if that’s because
we’ve got a bit closed or if they’ve
just finished but it either way it’s a
wonderful thing to experience right
– beautiful tortoises mating right under
the bush there’s just you know there’s
nothing else going on no sound on this
island at all so it was the sound of
their mating that lerton us to walk you
know 200 yards he got wind of us
beautiful
don’t move
just don’t move don’t move
don’t we have anything
this is the mail saying hey I think
you’ve interrupted my mating session and
what’s just amazing is that the
completely relentless to make sure
you’re well off his territory which I
thought might be 10 feet but I’ve
actually been on on about a 400 yard
circuit round here with this whopping
great thoughtless determined to take a
bit on my leg this is what you called
dogged thoughtless determination he
hasn’t seen my finishing sprint yet you
can’t blame him he’s in the bushes over
there mating on this beautiful private
quiet island and I pitch up to take a
look yeah but complain me see you buddy
I’m faster than you after all see you
mate leave you to it
