Don’t Shoot a Blue Tongue Deer | The Boonies

you can see we’re on a deer trail
there’s probably one coming down this
way in western Idaho bear claw is on the
hunt for white-tailed deer he and his
good friend Conan have divided to cover
more ground but over the past four hours
there are no signs of potential prey it
is getting so dry up here on the ridges
the dry places really affect the deer
and the the places that have just a
little moisture it seems like the deer
survive through those spots so this is
something we really don’t want to see
there’s all this dry ground
it’s warm this time of day
you’re probably gonna find some shade
we’ll just go up yonder here keep
looking
I see some white over there you stay
behind me
nice buck
why aren’t you taking the shot he’s got
a funny look to the way he’s acting
I don’t think he’s healthy I think
there’s a chance that he might have blue
tongue and I don’t want to shoot
he just doesn’t look right you know it’s
just not worth the risk just don’t feel
comfortable
