I was born biologically male my name was
Alex and at that time I never imagined
I’d get married
even people look at me all the time and
you know I present in the world as
female but people just expect that
because I’m wanting to express the
gender that I feel that I am that
somehow you know some kind of monster
you know I would say that I’m just like
you just like anyone else I love that

what do you think of your dress I think
he’d be pretty speechless
I think he would think that he’s
marrying the most beautiful woman in the
world like in the process of allowing
myself this gift to be myself I’ve
recognized that I don’t have to let go
of all of my self in the past I grew up
in Missoula Montana I have a twin
brother tentacle twin brother named Mark
we were always together they really were
mirror images of each other
say good morning Alex and you say good
morning mark
they were so intrinsically part of each
other they really didn’t need anyone
else did I ever they were very active
they had the twin speak at the twin talk
they were a lot of fun
and I just remember just the way people
are reacting to me and I was watching
them like I want to look like that there
wasn’t really any kind of structure
around you it was more just a a feeling
of completeness like imagining this
possibility of another me
