I usually spend the summer here what way
you like to do I like to find gold you
know I’m saying everybody has their
thing mines gold rumors have it that
we’ve only found probably maybe five to
ten percent of the actual gold but we
haven’t had any major storm so you’re
talking about a drought rivers way down
so now people can access areas that been
underwater for years because water was
at normal but you got to go to an area
that somebody hadn’t been there ahead of
you so you got to go a little higher up
in the river with the drought get you up

just looking for the spots instead of
doing a bunch of digging to run it
sluice box I just get right into the
spots where the gold are I just started
doing a sniping bank couple years ago
look for the cracks on the bedrock and a
place where you can peel the bedrock
apart there’s the Gold’s heavy and water
current sucks it into the cracks and
stuff like God just improve on that I
guess that’s all you can do right
practice makes perfect
it gets cold it’s not bad this time here
over here there’s always all kinds of
people here doing the pan and things
just crazy out of the gold still here
nuggets are rare here this is mostly a
lot of fine just fine there’s a nice
little chunks though sometimes quite
nice little chunks nice plate
you’re living life like they used to
live it it’s a lot of hard work that’s
why everybody doesn’t do it you know the
Gold’s way up prices well that’s why the
price is up because it’s hard to get to
it’s pretty of Lucy know all the easy
pickings gone now it’s more of a hobby
the more I do it the more I find some
people five six hundred ounces seven
dollars not me yet
but I like doing it I like to work so
hey got the boy standing over my
shoulder I get in the river I get what I
get and there it is it’s just good
wholesome lovin I think
one of these days I’ll find a nice
deposit make couple puffs
