affects taste today we’ll be offering
random people on the street to different
cake choices cake number one retails for
$15 and cake number two cost $55 hey

stand which cake would you try first
would you grab a slice of the cheap cake
or would you splurge on the good stuff
well the good news is we’re actually
giving away samples of each cake for
free so what we’re doing is we’re
opening a cake shop we have two kinds of
cakes that we’re making is a $15 cake
there’s a $55 cake that we make we’re
trying both and so we want to get some
feedback from people or by first the
cheap cake little joy what do you think
good thing this right
seems like the $15 cake left a bad taste
in their mouth I’m not depend disagree
FS is everything okay that makes sense
people didn’t love the $50 cake they
thought it was okay but a little dry and
tasteless and not that enjoyable overall
it’s not a broad but now let’s try the
same thing again it’s at this time with
the $55 cake what do you think people
think of the more expensive cake
versus delicious this is the fancy one
this is much better this is really good
derp people really seem to like the
expensive cake they said it was
delicious
they said it was moist and had better
frosting makes sense you get what you
pay for
right that’s like creamier well maybe
not because there’s a twist to this game
cake one and cake to are exactly the
same that’s right they’re the exact same
cake made with the same ingredients in
the same oven at the same time but
despite that our volunteers really
thought they were tasting two different
cakes I think there’s something
different yeah a little bit of its
moister seemed like the icing is better
it’s a lot tastier smoother richer I
just like the frosting on that what he’s
so much better
it’s more frosting tastes like you have
a little pudding in it yeah way better
so why do their brains think there’s a
difference well seeing a higher price
tag often makes us believe that product
is simply better much moister a more
expensive cake must be made with better
ingredients maybe some kind of organic
imported flour or by a better Baker with
a secret recipe right they’re exactly
