Rachel and Josh on a survival store and
lived in Paris California a small
suburban town outside of Los Angeles
where they live with their two daughters
Madison and Hannah and their Chihuahua
Coco they have been married for four
years and as their relationship grew so
did their desire to prep when we met I
wouldn’t say we were both Preppers I say
that we both have that mindset it
started out with chickens for eggs and
then we graduated to keeping pigs from
anymore water and then bug out eggs
water filters tactical gear body armor
knives mace and then he decided to build
his own bunker Josh and Rachel’s bunker
is 1,600 cubic feet and contains
approximately 24 hours of breathable air
for their family Josh believes this
would give them ample time to survive
the immediate effects of a 1400 degree
fire burning above having access to a
bunker is going to help us out
tremendously in the fact that it takes
about 30 seconds to get from our home
into our bunker and close the door
for their family of four Rachel and Josh
have stored over a year of food inside
the bunker
they have also outfitted it with radio
equipment a motion-activated security
system barter items and medical supplies
so this will be the last for the four of
us in comparing myself to other families
I think that we’re probably the extreme
not the norm I do feel it’s really smart
for every family to be prepared my two
daughters are also into prepping they
enjoy going on bug-out hikes they both
have bug-out bags they’ve gone to many
classes it’s taken a little while for
them to get into it but they see us
doing it and see that it’s smart thing
to do your favorite spaghetti beef
enchiladas chicken with pasta and pesto
well dig in girls to ensure that the
girls are ready for the adjustment to
life in the bunker each week the
Jacqueline substitute one meal with MRE
is and those are like emergency food
that you could store like and I’m like
if you’re in a bunker other kids don’t
know what MREs are but I think they’re
really good thank you you’re welcome
good be careful you’re getting your
braces we’re not prepared for that
